Johnny, you had a normal exam. Dermatologists examine skin, skin is an organ and it's all over your body.

Let me tell you this tho: medical professionals do not get turned on by their naked patients .
We see too many. Nor do we have time! It's a job, there are real people before you with possible life and death consequences if you screw up.
Your doc wouldn't want to miss some sort of skin cancer and send you on your way.
No one goes to school for 4-8 or 12 years to look at someones bare bum.
You're certainly not the first to assume this. But it doesn't happen. I don't know, nor have I ever know any medical personal who just want to see people unclothed.

I am very lucky to have had the same doctor for years... a doctor and you should feel completely comfortable to literally discuss any, and every thing. If you don't have that chemistry now is the time to find another doctor. Remember this is someone you will be seeing for the rest of your life, and could possibly save it.

I found this on my physicians web site, and I thought it my help.

"As a general guideline, the average adult should have a physical twice during their twenties, every three years during their thirties, every other year during their forties and every year after their fifties. These recommendations vary based on the gender of the patient and their medical history."

The last physical I had the Dr. rubbed my dick just a little excessively while looking at my forsythe bumps that I would like to get rid of. It was odd, but a little sexy to. It took everything I had not to get full wood and I still developed a healthy simi.

If we are not supposed to get a physical every year, why do insurance companies specify "annual physicals" as part of their wellness programs. Besides, most guys don't check things they should be checking. I know of a few friends who were checked for tescular cancer in their 20's and luckily found out that they had it and were able to stop the cancer before any more damage was caused.
I don't think that is not appropiate to ask when your are seting up the appointment how long the exam will take. A real physical takes more than 15 minutes. My doctor's office even checks hearing and eyesight at the same time. If your doctor is not looking at everything, they are not doing their best for you and you need to change to a new doctor. As your friends about their last physicals when you are looking...
Just my 2 cents.......

Not all insurance companies require an annual physical examination. Moreover, a complete annual examination is over-kill for many people. How often one should actually have a complete physical examination depends on a number of factors, including age, the results of prior examinations, risk factors, etc.

People who have specific problems, such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol, should have those things checked at least annually, and sometimes more than annually. People at risk for diabetes also require more frequent examinations. A family history of certain problems would also require more frequent examinations. I myself have a skin examination twice a year because of a history of basil cell carcinomas and have had several removed.

Most GP do not examine the genitals. If you have a problem, real or perceived, they'll send you on to urology or gynecology.
Unless you're in a very small town where it might be difficult to see a specialist quickly, or at all,and the GP tends to see patients from cradle to grave.
WHAT??? I hope to GOD that they do!! If not, you are NOT getting a thorough physical!! A urologist or gynecologist takes care, primarily, of INTERNAL problems that require more advanced treatment than a GP could provide (catheterization and whatnot). But I NEED my GP to look at my junk at least once in a while for signs of anything that might be amiss!!

...I'm reading the weekly alternative rag here, and their nationally-syndicated sex advice columnist is advising a guy who claims to be 100% straight that licking the jizz off adult bookstore walls is not a straight-guy activity....

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Does anyone have any informaiton on physicals in the UK?
I see threads about it on here a lot but it seems to be confined to the U.S I've never seen my dad or uncles say they're going to the Doctor for an annual physical or anything like that.

My dermatologist gets me more naked than my reg doctor.

But for insurance reasons, actually I need to schedule and request the full deal. I have a question. You know woman are told to do breast exams often and there is method for this.

What the method for self testicle exam? Sounds dumb, meaning, I know I can touch myself, but what is proper effective? I need to ask the doc that?

I had a physical this week. And it was not complete. I scheduled an "annual" exam. It was superficial at best. There was a brief look in my ears, nose, and throat. A quick check of my neck and then she listened to my lungs. Another brief palpation of my abdomen. Next was bend over time and she only checked for a hernia and my testes after I asked. This odd since this doctor found the hernia I had earlier. No other tests of any kind. I was dressed until the prostate test when i was asked to drop my drawers. My shirt was lifted for the other tests. I left angry. Looking for a new provider

You have to find one that you are comfortable with and who is comfortable with you. I have a great doctor. He's gay, and he's a riot. Very much down to earth and speaks at a level that his patients can understand. I don't feel there is anything I can't talk to him about. My partner and I broke up for a few months while we worked through some things. He knew about it, offered to slap him around a little for me, and then because my blood pressure was up, he suggested I make an appointment with the therapist in the office.

I have yet found a doctor that does a thorough physical exam, the one you get naked and the doctor touches you. Most insurance allow one physical exam per year for free without co-pay. Every time I request a physical exam, the doctor just order some blood test for me.

I want a doctor to check my balls to make sure they are ok, but I am too shy to ask the doctor. I was hoping I could get it done through a regular physical exam.

When was the last time you had a physical and what was your experience?
The VA did all of that for me for my routine physical.

I have an anual physical. She checks my penis, testicles and does a prostate exam each year. I didn't have to ask, she just tells me when it's time. Great doc
