i hate lines.

if you can't talk to me like i'm a person then you've no hope.

Right on! That's my attitude towards pickup lines as well. If a person acts like stupid-cocky pickup lines are funny, then does that person have decent communication skills?

I never use pickup lines. I treat women with respect, and if they do the same, we can get along.

I did use pick up lines when I was single.

I'd go up to a guy, and tell him that I came over to flirt with him, but that on the way over I lost my nerve. Then I would look helpless, and ask the guy to hit on me instead. Very effective.

Once, inspired by a friend's funny story, I pulled off the following. I used the above line to start a conversation with a guy who turned out to be a boring boor. So after making eye-contact with a guy behing him, I pointed to my left and exclaimed, "Holy shit! A diversion!" And when the poor dude looked away, I mouthed, "Help me?" I think dudes just love to rescue a humorous damsel in distress.

i've heard some lame pickup lines in my life but nothing topped that one.

once in a while mike_hawk and i will use cheesy pickup lines on each other to get a good laugh going, but that's about it.

When somewhere like school or somewhere you have to go often i like "hey, do you come here often?" It doesnt work, its just funnny to convince friends it does and see them do it.

Im pretty sucky at lines but the whole "werent you in my lecture the other day?" is a good one to start with at uni.
