I'm no artist, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate art. I also once read an article by Alan Moore, of which the basic gist was, "the more porn that gets made, the less art in it there is." Personally, I think he's right, although I blame it mostly on the proliferation of gonzo style porn and livejournal fan fiction communities.

Where am I going with this? Well, I'd love take some pictures of myself, but I don't really know how. Sure, I can point the camera at my dick and snap a picture, but where's the fun in that? Or, more specifically, where's the art? I don't have a tripod and I don't have a great camera (no slr, just a point 'n' shoot) but I do have a lot of free time.

tl;dr: What kind of pictures should I take of myself?

you should take a picture of whatever you think is artistic. art can not be rushed; art happens, it evolves, it appears. so don't force a picture. the one you have is hot...i suggest a 'classic nude' shot and maybe showing bulge

    Dear Calcium..

If you have a trusted friend (him/her) try a little something different - outdoor shots, shots against a dark wall, subtle lighting and use of shadow. These are all erotic to me. I'm no photog myself, however I appreciate a good piece of work depicting the male body, hardons, or no. I feel like you, a dick shot is a dick shot, but since you appear to have a rather lithe and nice body with bush (thankyou, I am not a fan of shaved dicks-it's like art without the frame-eh?), you could really end up with some great shots. I'd love to see them.

Anyway be creative, let your imagination take you where it will. Anyone can take a picture of their dick, but like you, I too am looking for more than that. I appreciate nice bodies with a little style in their depictions.

    Good Luck and Best Regards,

    Llazlo

    Hmm, artsy?

In your pictures you should probably forego including tape measures, cans of shaving cream, keyboards, messy desks, laundry, petechia, razor burn, bad photoshoperation and other peoples' penises.

'Course in art there are no rules . . .

The less you try to be "arty", the more "arty" it's likely to be. (That is, for people who aren't schooled in these things.)

I always try to show more than just a dick.....a dick artfully wrapped or peekin/hangin out of somethin......a nicely staged shot...a full body shot so people can see the man the dick is attached to...good lighting....natural is best......taking a flash pic of yourself in the mirror is soooooo wrong.....Hardguard has been my pic inspiration
