I noticed that he sounds different in English, but it’s because English is not his first language, he cannot express himself the way he does it in Italian, even if he wanted, it takes years to master a language, he tries though, besides, Italian is a very expressive language, we express differently and it all has to do with the way the language is, people will not understand this unless they’re Italian speakers (Italians know what I’m talking about), it happens to me too, trust me, he’s not stupid, it’s just difficult to express in a different language the same way you do in your native language, so he probably stick to simple talk, I do the same, it’s frustrating at times because you indeed don’t seem very smart but it is what it is.
