The silence is broken
By music
From a piano
Chopin
How lovely
Takes me back to a time
When I loved you
Fool that I was
Young immature boy
I wasted my first love on you
We were together
Alone in a room
With a piano
You played for me
Chopin
How lovely
Touching the keys
With the passion
I desired from you
The notes flew around the room
I sat in awe
If I possessed
My maturity of today
We could have been lovers
But I was merely a full grown child
The music has stopped
The silence returns
I leave my memories
Chopin
How lovely

Thank you for your appreciation.
No I did not fall in love with my piano teacher
Just someone who was talented.

There is sunshine and warmth
Smiles, laughter and happiness
An innocent child plays
When the sky darkens

Clouds gather and a chill wind starts to blow
“The storm scares me”
Running inside to hide
The rumble in the distance

It is not thunder
A war is beginning
The covers of the bed
Provide no protection

Can it not just go away
What is the fighting over
Territory so small
Birds fly over in the blink of an eye

Riches – there are none
A war has begun
An innocent child in the middle
Seeks safety and comfort

Mommy and Daddy help
Mammy and Daddy stop fighting
The battling escalates
Allies are enlisted

High priced mercenaries called
A frightened child left alone
Will be injured
Wounds will scar

How can one believe the talk of love and protection
Amid the hate and anger
Where is sunshine and warmth
Smiles, laughter and happiness

An innocent child prays
Is there a God to help
The covers of the bed
Provide no protection

Geez, Pitbull, were you there when I grew up?? Standing behind a door, watching?

No I wasn't.
But there is still a child that lives inside of me and knows the joy & fears of a child.
Fortunately, I did not experience divorce of my parents. Or that of any relatives or know of it among my circle of friends growing up.
Different place, different time.
There is way too much going on now.
Disposable spouses.
Children have a very rough time of it. Very rough.
Sorry for you. Hope you have managed to overcome it.
(If I was behind the door I might have bitten someone to make them stop)

Of course *we adored your unedited version of
"The Tale of Cigarbabe".
I found it to be very amusing, funny and well written
like all of your poetry is. These other poems are just as brilliantly written too PitBull.

Wasted my time
Holding onto my dreams
Foolish desires
Of a romance with you
And looking back on that time
All that is left
Is a twinge of regret
But of what I am not sure
That you did not love me
Or that I foolishly gave my love
I am reminded of you
When I hear certain songs
Pass by places
Significant to me
Nothings to you
Remembrances of kisses
Lips warm with heart cold
Frozen like the middle of a Norwegian winter
I can only hope
To forget you
So I can love again

Happy Valentine's Day

For the curious people who wish to know

This was written a few years ago.
Inspired
But unrequited love.
Wasted heartbeats.

May your kisses lead to a happier place.

A kiss!
Lips so sweet and warm and soft that I melted when I touched them.
A kiss from an angel.
I am in heaven.
I was hoping that someday I would get to kiss you.
Hoping so hard,
Wishing,
Wanting,
Praying.
My imagination was incapable of preparing me
A kiss
So special
The earth stood still
and
Hasn’t started moving again.

Ode To Pitbull

The puddles on computer chairs
Used to be women
Women who read Pitbull's wonderful prose

Hearts swoon with the thought
Of a man writing such things to her
While also having a big, gorgeous cock

I do not feel jealousy
Which comes with resent
Over those blessed by fortune
But envy I feel
A desire for that which I do not have

I envy the cup that touches your lips
The cloth that covers your soft skin
The bird whose song
Brings a smile to your face
All of the things I cannot do

Unfair life
Keeps us apart
Do you know what I feel?
From miles away
In another world

Cup, cloth or bird
I don’t want to be
For a man I shall remain
With my wishes
And a burning desire

May my lips touch yours
Cover your soft skin with my naked body
As the sun goes down
Smiles will cover our faces
Beyond tomorrow's dawn

How cute! So he's really hung, eh?
My e-interest just increased 10-fold. :09: :biggrin1:

Love this new one, PB!

What's the story behind it?
It sort of reminds me of the Neruda poem we were discussing the other day.

Something a little different.
In a humorous vein.

I also posted this under "Celebrity Endowments"
Tom Jones the Welsh singer is reputed to have a very large penis.
I changed the words to a nursery rhyme:

Tom Jones was a Welshman
Tom Jones was a thief
Hiding a big package in his pants
Of long meaty sausage beef

I went to Tom Jones house
Tom Jones was not home
Tom Jones came to my house
Screwed my wife with his big bone

I went to Tom Jones house
Tom Jones was not in
Tom Jones came to my house
Fucked my wife and drank my gin

I went to Tom Jones house
Tom Jones was in bed
I pull back the bed covers
And found my wife giving head
