Hey everyone. This is a really cool site. You have to place all the United States of America in their correct locations. It's harder than I thought!!

    Place The States

    I got a score of 86%
With an Avg distance of error at 41 miles
And a time of 257 seconds.

you're right, it is harder than you think (at least to begin with).

The midwestern states are a little harder to place, especially if a good part of the map isn't already filled in. Damn sequare lookin' flat landed mother f-ers.

The hardest part is the beginning, when the map is blank - if you're off more than about 1/4" you've goofed.

    This one's a keeper, TallHung.

Exactly. I'd like to think I'm pretty good at this sort of task, but I drew Iowa as my very first state. I know where Iowa is; I know which states it borders; I know the capitol; I've visited three of the state universities there; I got my tongue pierced in Cedar Rapids! But placing it within the tolerance of the machine with no bordering states to refer to -- eh, not so easy.

Drawing coastline states first makes the game a lot easier. (And knowing which rectangle is Wyoming and which one's Colorado helps, too! :) )

I'll consider it a pretty good score. And I'm with you, Jon: my mistakes were in New England.

96%, 4 miles 266 seconds. Then again geography was always my favorite subject. (and evidently that place the states map puzzle I had when I was 8 helped too) .

    Impressive, Onslow!

I got 82% average distance off 33 miles, 266 seconds. I blew at New England and missed a few of the "square states" by quite a bit. Fun game.

I had a U.S. map puzzle as a kid and put it together about a thousand times. I could do this when I was five.

I did luck out with some coastal states first, but I was able to place some of the Mississippi River states with nothing to go by. I was off on South Dakota and another I forget.

92%, 20 Miles and 319 Seconds. Thanks mainly to having driven across the States a couple of times. I want to see a map of Canada next...How hard can it be to place a few large provinces? Or Europe, but I may fail that one...
