Hi people,

What's with this percentage of straight and gay, like 90% straight, 10% gay etc? Is that from some kind of survey, or just how you feel about yourself?

It's perhaps just another method by which some of us wish to categorize ourselves, and by relative consequence, each other.

I would imagine it some form of psychological self evaluation based upon no particular scientific measures (though the rating system employed is in fact loosely based on certain accepted forms of classification established by various widely regarded sociologists/sexologists: Alfred Kinsey et al).

Some here have held that the system is inaccurate, arguing that there is no such thing as a 100% heterosexual, nor a 100% homosexual, and that sexuality varies with time, and with certain particulars determined by time, place, mood, circumstances and individuals involved. Others disagree.

And then there are those of us who hold that such information (in addition to information relating to one's age, location, dick size, religion, political affiliation, etc. etc.) shouldn't matter (and is probably nobody's frakking business anyway), so we simply choose not to say.

I once listed myself as you- 100% straight. But tell me that you have NEVER looked at a guy and thought “he is somewhat attractive.” I am not saying that you thought “gee I would love to fuck him” just some sort of attraction. Never looked at your life and the mind games you have played with a girl and thought how much easier it would be to just date men and skip the mind games? (for the gay men here please realize that I do not HONESTLY believe it; but it is a nice fantasy that it would simplify the relationship.) You can look at yourself and your life and say that you are 100% positive that you are 100% straight and that there is not some tiny little minuscule repressed and hidden part of your brain that is an openly and flamboyantly gay and wanting to take over? (Fine the last sentence may have been a little strong, but you get the idea.)

Its a self evaluation. If you feel you fit in a range than you can show that.

It's like a straight or gay badge and holds little true worth.

I wasn't sure if there was some kind of survey, like the ones on myspace. You fill them out and then it says what kind of kisser you are, or what your political beliefs are, etc. There are tons of them.

As far as what dolf said, I can look at a man and think he's attractive but it's not a sexual thing. What I find interesting is that straight women can call other women beautiful, but straight men aren't supposed to call other men good looking. I think it's ridiculous. We are supposedly more visual than women.

And another thing is that many gays seem to think that straight guys are wanting oral from them. There are all these "straight guys want to try" groups and chat rooms. Yes it does exist, and I'm sure many gay guys can attest to it, but I don't think it's the majority. And there are also films of supposed straight guys having gay sex for the first time. It appears to be some kind of gay fantasy. If you see it, believe it, or at least fantasize that it is true.

I'm pretty sure that if a straight man is going to try gay sex, he isn't going to allow it to be filmed.

I call myself 100% straight because as far back as I can remember, I have had a strong attraction to the female body. Even in first grade I remember getting erections thinking about the girls in my class in swimsuits (which is, of course, silly, considering that we all looked the same...but it's nonetheless true). I can easily acknowledge when a guy is attractive, but when a girl is attractive, it touches on something else in my psyche. I believe it can be the same for gay people; some of them know they are gay even when they are very young.

I do think sexuality is a continuum, and because of that I also believe people can be 100% gay or straight. Most people, however, or at least a majority, fall somewhere in between.

You underestimate the buying power of a dollar by a very large margin, I think. "Gay for pay" is a rather common phenomenon in the porn world.

Yes there are men in the porn world who are "gay for pay", but I'm talking about these supposed ordinary men who are having gay sex for the first time on camera. It's some kind of gay fantasy to believe that these guys are straight. I don't really, fully believe the gay for pay guys. I think they're doing gay in real life too.

I've come to realize that men who say they are bi, or even a little bi are really gay. They always say if they had to choose, they would choose their own sex.

From a womans point of view ( and apparently we are all supposed to be bi, or a few drinks away) It was important for me to list 100% hetro cause I get pissed off in real life when everyone assumes I am bisexual as I am opely VERY sexual, of course I must be bi also

I have tried to be bi, tried to like women, had women who I thought were very attractive and sexual. They did not do anything for me sexually, even womens fingers inside me feels weird and wrong .
Women never enter into my thoughts as I masterbate. I hate MFF porn or any porn where there is girl on girl action ( I fast forward as it bores me)

So I say with pride I am 100% hetrosexual (bring on the boys) , and love diversity in others.

I believe sexuality is a scale and there are shades of grey etc, but I also believe you can be at one end or another.

on side note...why would you want to give anyone who was totally not into you a blow job? I could not think of anything worse (sexually) than trying to make some othe person something they are not, thats like me saying I can turn gay men straight!
