I've been accused of being a troll and of violating the terms of service. Would you like me to stop posting in this sub-forum? If more people respond "yes", I will stop posting in this sub-forum. Thanks in advance.

You received this feedback from a member? Or in a PM from a forum moderator?

I don't think you should stop posting in this section all together, just don't be so eager to pick a fight with those you disagree with.

I don't want anyone to just leave, unless they are only here to troll and start fights.

I did no such thing. I simply made a point. Liberals support sending troops all over the world to defend others, but are opposed to troops being used to protect our own border. You didn't like my point and, instead of responding to the topic, you attacked me personally by calling me a "troll".

You're flat out incorrect. I do not support sending troops all over the world. In fact, the exact opposite. Bring them home, and stop killing for the recourses in other countries.

The only thing in that post that's accurate is the fact that I called you a troll.

I'm simply wanting to know if this community is an "inclusive" and "tolerant" place and wants a "diversity" of thought.

If that was simply what you wanted to know, you would've simply asked it.

As it was, you led off with remarks about how you were accused of trolling and violating the TOS and if you should stop posting or not. AKA drama whoring.

Well, I don't want to get banned from the entire forum as I enjoy the discussion that occurs throughout it. This sub-forum is obviously dominated by liberals and, as you and others have demonstrated, is overtly hostile to conservatives. Therefore, I want to know if my input is welcome here or not. If not, no problem, I'll stop posting here. There are countless forums to discuss political issues. Some are inclusive, some are not. If this place is not then, so be it.

It seems that conservatives are unwelcome here. No problem. I will refrain from posting here further until and unless a moderator sends me a pm welcoming me to return.

Conservatives are welcome.

Trolls are not.

OP: You've been here less than two weeks. You seem to have formed quite the judgmental opinions about other posters. Which are not always accurate. At all. But then you would only know that if you spent some time perusing the site and getting a flavor for certain topics and posters therein.

What I really would like for you to do is tell us WHY are you here? What is your motive? Are you truly here to have conversation/discussion/debate with like- and different-minded adults? Or do you want to incite and inflame and argue? Or are you looking for validation of your position?

I ask because I've already formed my opinion about why you are here from reading your numerous posts. Almost all here in Politics. And, I don't want to assume what your schtick is based solely on your posts. Unless your more recent posts are more reflective of who you really are than those from when you first started posting. That's why I genuinely ask you: WHY are you here?

That's what's confused me the most. I thought when you started posting you wanted to have salient and appropriate discussion. But now it seems, especially when your position is challenged or disagreed with, boom, your posts take on quite an ugly slant. They don't reflect on you in a way you may believe them to.

And please do reconsider painting with such a sweeping generalized brush. All liberals are...NOPE, all liberals are not...

Just like all conservatives are...NOPE, all conservative are not...

Now, to your question. Let me quote a poster who's just made quite an astute observation which pretty much sums up my feeling about your question, and LPSG as well:

Conservatives are welcome.

Trolls are not.

Now it's up to you. YOU. Decide what you want your experience here at LPSG to be. Cuz it's obvious you're not having the LPSG experience you envisoned. Or maybe you really are...

When you start out saying "Liberals do . . . (whatever) " in broad general strokes it sends a message your mind is made up. It is less likely to be received as a point you are open to discussing. I don't think you are trolling here in the sense that some of our more infamous trolls have done. I would hate to see anyone leave who wants to contribute to the conversation. In this little sub forum we all at times tend to be strident on one point or another. It is an adjustment at times to look past that. As I have found, at times it is nice to take some time off from the site to unwind and put it into perspective. I'm not saying you need to do that - I just mention it as something I have experienced myself. Long story short - at time your posts annoy me, as I know mine do you, but don't leave over something like that. If you enjoy it and feel you have something to say, stay and say it.

Every input is welcome... as long as it benefits to a good discussion.

I haven't read the thread some talk about, that's why I say keep on posting.

I'd say... if you're happy to put across your points politely - and also accept any reasonable disagreement, then stay.

I agree with Keen's observation on 'liberals think...' though. There are too many generalisations on here (on both sides) - usually designated to shut down debate. If you can discuss things without resorting to this, then please stay.
