I was only being facetious, although I suspect that many effective leaders (including in other arenas such as business and science) are not that authoritarian, nor can they afford to be: their success may hinge on independent thinkers (scientists, artists) who tend to despise and resist authoritarianism.
Still, to be powerful...:sigh:
I'd say that scientists and artists may tend to be against authoritianism (especially artists), but business... a lot of them are authoritarian, as long as THEY are the ones in authority, that is!
But yep, I'm in the bottom left quadrant. Probably about 98% of the people I've known have been in the top right quadrant... polar opposite... and they tend to be rabid about it, too... so people like me learn to keep quiet to prevent hostility toward us. And no, that's not just me "whining". Back when I was working my longest-lasting job, I was working with a bunch of "top-right" people, and I kept quiet. When I found out I was being laid off, I got into a conversation with someone else who was being laid off at the same time as I was, and did mention my political views. Turns out she had similar political views to mine, and she even said that
she kept quiet about it because of all the loudness of the other side where we worked!
