This week's question of the week.... What Sexuality Are You?

I know this isn't easy for everyone to answer. Happy to turn this into a discussion as well :)

In case any of you are unsure of the terms. Here are some definitions for each.

Heterosexual

A.K.A, straight. We all know this one — It’s the most “accepted” form of sexuality. Hetero means “other” or “different,” so it classifies those who feel attraction to a sex different from their own.

Homosexual

Homo means “same,” so homosexual means liking someone of the same sex. This is probably the second most well-known orientation. Gay and lesbian people generally fit into this category.

Bisexual

Bi means “two” and bisexual individuals feel attraction to those of both the same and different sex or gender. They are attracted to both females and males. Just because a man has only had relationships with women does not negate the attraction he may have to other men. Bisexual people are commonly erased in society because they don't fit into an either-or category. They are not 50% gay and 50% straight; they are bisexual.

Pansexual

Pan means “all,” so pansexual people are attracted to all genders. It’s similar to bisexual in that pansexual individuals are attracted to more than one gender; however, they can feel attraction to male, female, intersexual, gender-queer, transsexual and other gender identities. For people who identify as pansexual, gender is not a limiting factor in attraction because they are attracted to people of any sex or gender. The term “pansexual” is often used interchangeably with “omnisexual.”

Queer

Queer is a very ambiguous word. It has many different definitions and uses, but here I will try to define it as simply as possible. Basically, a queer person does not conform to traditional gender or sexuality norms.

Asexual

Asexual people experience no or little sexual attraction. Asexual individuals can, however, feel a romantic and emotional attraction to someone. Many (but not all) asexual people can experience arousal, but it is not directed at anyone in particular. They can still engage in sexual activity and go on to have successful and meaningful relationships while not feeling sexual attraction to their partner.
I didn’t like this survey. My sexuality is somewhat fluid. I’ll suck your dick or eat your pussy. Love M to F trans people.

The results are kind of what I expected, my only surprise is how few heterosexuals there are, I expect that percentage will continue to reduce in the coming years.

I like that fact that most members are tolerant about other's sexualities at LPSG, it's one of the few places around where one can overcome ignorance by interacting with and asking questions about other sexual orientations with full anonymity.

Even though there is a natural (soft) segregation here due to common interests, conficts are usually of a competitive nature, the longest running being "who sucks cocks better, men or women?" I suppose that question will expand as new orientations appear.

I'm kinda surprised that anyone is surprised by that.

It's a penis centric site. So it just makes sense to me that most of the people who join a site like this one would be gay men, even though it's not a site specifically for that group.

Kinda how in the other poll asking why we're here, most of the poll answers were "I'm here for the Dick and nothing but the DICK!"

I'm fully cool with all of it, until certain members start bullying others for having other motives to be here.

Suppose anything with large penis in its title is going to attract it's fair share of gays

Nope. Bisexual refers strongly to the person feeling the impulse.
Pansexual refers strongly to the people to whom you are attracted. “People of any gender expression,” rather than the binary definition of male or female. It includes folx outside of an A or B mindset.

‎Two Bi Guys on Apple Podcasts

this podcast is called Two Bi Guys, has very interesting episodes about why straight men have sex, among other bi related topics. Highly recommend
I saw part of the doctor's book title ... Not Gay; Sex between Straight Men... I have the audio version and it's pretty good, I think she has most of it figured out but I think there are a few gaps in her knowledge of say what we discuss on here in depth. She is not a guy, but it is well worth the listen... Made me feel pretty normal, even a little vanilla...

I answered queer for lack of a better choice because my sexuality for me is linked to my gender identity. I consider myself gender fluid so sometimes I think of and present myself as male, and other times I think of and present myself as female. When I’m in that male state of mind I’m only attracted to men, but when I feel more in tune with my female presentation I have a small small attraction to women but at most the fantasy of attraction and intercourse would only ever be oral and never penetration

I really don’t talk about my identity with anyone in my circle just cause I feel like so many people would see how I identify myself and my preferences and be weirded out. Even people on this site have attacked me for that 1% I’ve put on my attraction and say I’m just confused.

I don't care how you identify yourself. All I would want to do if I were 50 years younger is make you cum. VERY attractive!

Men give better blowjobs. We have personal reference points. I used the scientific method and found that I've only had 1 good BJ from a woman.

Humans are sexually fluid and everyone's sexuality is unique to them. 'Gay, straight etc... are just labels and that's all - they never truly reflect a persons sexuality 100%. To quote Kate Bornstein “And keep in mind that the you that makes life worthy of living today won’t be the same you that makes life worth living this time next year. Identities aren’t meant to be permanent. They’re like cars: they take us from one place to another. We work, travel, and seek adventure in them until they break down beyond repair. At that point, living well means finding a new model that better suits us for a new moment.”

Until a woman learns good technique and that's there's no shame in sucking cock and fully enjoying it.

Identities aren’t just cars, they’re armor. Life is not a huge porno or love story. You’re greatly underestimating people’s egos and pride.

im sorry but having preferences does not equal new sexualities, you are either attracted to your gender, the oposite gender of both genders, the rest is just sexualities with preferences added

Agreed. The absurd alphabet soup nonsense seems to grow each year. LGBTQIA+ ad infinitum. Then another ridiculous “pride” flag is created. Really? That’s what makes you proud? You need to get better life.
