Who knows? I'd bet a the priesthood has a much higher than average percent of sociopathic sexual predators. A lot of them likely entered the priesthood because they didn't want or couldn't have normal healthy sexual relationships.

It's kinda what I was thinking, having seen (and thank God only that!) many sexually confused/frustrated priests. I was hoping for a Vatican II, let priests marry (whatever gender), kinda moment from all this... but that's seem like a very liberal outcome... The pope's call of "penance" for "sins" of the Church seems to fall far short of this, or any legal redress.

If this single sculpture offends him, I can't imagine his reaction to all the ling-hams all over India.
