How many here will filter the internet with porn blockers when you have kids?

My aunt caught my cousin surfing porn in his room. Now his computer is in the living room and it's got a cyber block. I just pretended I was shocked too when my mom told me about it...what else can you do, eh.

Had the internet been around when my kids were kids I'd certainly have set ground rules, including the strongest parental blocks available. Sure, they need to learn but it should be age-appropriate learning.

I think I would. I wouldnt want them to turn out like me. I did some stupid shit when I first got AOL at the age of 15... a scarey 9 years ago. I wouldnt go crazy, but Id be more comfortable if I caught my son watching a porno on dvd then on websites with gay and straight combinations or in chatrooms. The internet can be a social obstructive for some.

yes if I had kids, there definately would be porn block on, not only that, but key loggers too, with all the trouble that can happen with blogs, IM's, chatrooms, and so on, I find that if I had kids that was on the internet it would be my responsibility to know what sites, what is said on IM's and chatrooms and so on, there would be no computer in the kids room, I would be very strict about it, and I would also see to it that the kids would be very limited on what is accessible on the computer as well, and I would also be checking it daily, also making sure that they would not be able to download anything at all.
