Is it hard to get started in. Like i dont want to be in videos i want to produce, shoot, and run a company. Any articles on how this works and how hard it is. There is a pretty penny to be made after you get started.

its getting easier and easier, and less and less lucrative. I personally know two people that have made revenue shooting pornography. Neither of them, when taking equipment and/or model payment into consideration made anywhere near a profit.

Unless you consider it profitable to see women naked and tell them to get in various poses. LoL

I worked in the business for about ten years starting 35 years ago. It is like every other business: Unless you've got a solid plan and enough capital to make it run, it'll be a hobby. You have to know what you're doing and have some connections in the business.

And no, the fact you know how to run a camera does not put you in the business.

I think the odds of success are pretty small, even if you can get your foot in the door. Let's put it this way: even if everyone agrees that you're great at it, most of your audience is going to watch it for free on the internet anyway.

i think you'll do good if you have a good eye for what is generally desired, and unique. i'm not sayin have pam anderson look-a-likes jamming 5 dildos made of jello up her ass. just something that'll set you apart from the others, and be competitive. same with opening up a business, you might have the education or experience to manage, but you could set up a business in a bad place with no real future.

someone is bound to like a shitty flick, but most like the "better" ones. it's up to you what you accept as "better"

if you don't have an entrepreneur's eye then partner up with someone who does

people are so money motivated all it seems you need is the $$$

if you want to get into it, and are really serious about it, i'm sure there are people on the site that will help you out with information on getting started.

good luck if that's what you want to do, maybe you'll end up the camera person for me & my chick's pornos ;]

get your self a camera, if you will work with your own dick ( perfect, you dont have to pay anyone else) pay the girls around 600-3000$ depending on who you want.
Now, the best and important part is sell the dvd...

BUt better yet, if you know how to make website etc. You will definitely make money. Since all you have to do is put up links and burn dvd's and sell them. But, if you know more about website you can add memberships for 2.99$... you will go crazy of how many people will come and pay those 3 Dollars. All you have to do is get as many hits as possible. ;) ( if you dont know how to start a website or all of it) your profits will be minimum.
Remember those big porn industries make at least 5 scenes per day. Which if you think about it have an spending of at least 10k just on girls on daily baisis, that say you gotta pay a few dozen of people. But, of course they started low, probably when there was little competition. Now, you get porn for free online... so? redtube.com has excellent videos, for free. I mean thousands of vids. as many as 12 new ones per day.
