This is more of an IT tech support question than anything else. I'd normally enquire about something like this on a different site but as it's about porn in the interest of anonymity I'd rather do so on LPSG, and this sub-forum seems like to most suitable area. I recently 'upgraded' to Windows 11, though at the moment I'm failing to see any of the benefits. I've had to download an app that brings back the drag-and-drop function, and memory usage going through the roof even when I just have a web browser open, causing my laptop's fans to go haywire, for example. But recently any porn videos have become basically unwatchable. Something about adult sites is completely draining the bandwidth and the videos either buffer constantly or don't play at all. YouTube works fine. If I try and download videos they do so very slowly and constantly get network errors. I use a VPN (without which I cannot access porn or this site because of a parental lock) and thought that might be it, but it makes no different what server I'm on, or setting the VPN to be compatible with an older operating system. I then thought it was a problem with Chrome Incognito mode, but it does it on regular Chrome, too. Gave Microsoft Edge a go - same problem. If it was to do with the firewall or my anti-virus software I would've thought it would block porn sites completely rather than just slow them down. I know it's not my router or ISP as porn sites work fine on my phone, and so my only conclusion has to be that it's something to do with Windows 11.

I've Googled this but haven't found anyone else with this specific problem, any ideas what it could be?

It's understandable that you'd like to inquire about this topic anonymously, and I appreciate you reaching out to this community for assistance. It's worth noting that performance issues on specific websites can sometimes be related to various factors, including browser settings, network configurations, or even compatibility with the operating system.

Firstly, since you mentioned that videos on YouTube work fine, it could indicate that the problem might be specific to certain adult websites rather than a general issue with your Windows 11 setup. While the windows key shortcut on your keyboard can assist with various Windows-related functions and shortcuts, it may not directly apply to your situation at the moment.
