Hm. This type of "scare" seem to come up in the porn biz every few years.

I dunno, I've always assumed that most everyone in the gay porn biz anyway is HIV+, and I always assumed that studios test performers before a shoot. That assumption is probably wrong though, but you'd think that even in this industry (maybe especially in this industry), studios would take care not to be liable for the HIV possibility.

The problem is that although people are "tested" every two weeks, the results are not known for another two weeks after the test.

So there is a two week window where people can contract diseases but still be "okayed" by the industry.

I hope it isn't Julian who got HIV! He's my brother from another mother.

Talk about shitting where you eat. Seriously, you do porn for a living, why would you go out and have sex unprotected when you work in an industry where you can be as wild as you want to?

I agree. It's pretty dumb...these actors and actresses should show more respect for other performers and for their profession.

I might get vilified for this but I love my porn without condoms because in real life I MUST use condoms. When i jerk off twice a day sometimes three if I have 93,000 web browsers open ;) lol I like to watch the performers react to skin to skin contact. Some porn with condoms are kool too...don't get me wrong but people have to realize that if making porn movies is the profession they choose to take up then they should know how long it takes for HIV to really show in your bloodstream and it ain't no damn 2 weeks. So these people are taking a chance with there lives as well as others.

BUT as I said in an earlier post it seems that these performers are taking the necessary precautions, and unfornately these instances will occur everynow and then.

I thought Julian retired. So it's most likely not him.

Test results are 24 hours to 4 days depending on the type of test and number of tests taken at one time. AIM tests are acceptable for 30 days although I've heard of straight porn companies that require a test lest than 15 days old.
