Interesting. It is not unheard of that a new teacher loses job because they didn't see how private life was related to public. Just happened last year to a guy in a district near by. He openly said he couldn't get by on his salary. Of course people said do another job....
A teacher in my home town lost his job becasue he was in a production of The Full Monty. In this case it was more legit art but had the same result. The funny thing was in the production you couldn't actually see nudity at the end of the show becasue of the lighting. He was however in a jock in one part of the show. I thought this case was too bad. He wasn't even paid for the work in the play. He just believed in and enjoyed theatre.
Teachers, like myself, have a morals note within our contracts. It has got to be one of the last cotracts of it's kind. So to ask someone to be moral outside of the classroom...or model a certain kind of behavior... it would seem fair to being paying people for that private time.
The bottom line is if a teacher is on the net, and a picture is posted nude, it must not be found out. If it is found out you will "change community perception" and be out of a job. In the case above I thought...she should have worn a wig and makeup...who would have known?
