There's a certain symbolism and eroticism inherant in the high heels that you often see in porn. The shoes are, from what I've seen, almost always the type you'd associate with a "woman out on the prowl." I think it's done to reinforce the atmosphere behind the scene- it adds a sense of urgency and spontaneity to things.
Also as twotimes said a heel or platform elongates the leg. The shoe also provides a visual contrast to the color and texture of skin (something you wouldn't think about but pairing opposites makes the characteristics of each stand out more). Heels create some sexy and dangerous shots, IMO it's pretty sexy to see a stiletto pressed firmly into a man's adbodmen.

We dont watch the same, because, for me, they must stay on. Often, I will stop the scene and move on if she takes them off.
To answer the OP's question, I heard that it was a safety issue. Like mentioned before, the porn set floors are dirty and unsafe. Which to me is BS since the guys are almost always barefoot. The reasons mentioned above are more plausable. Shoe/ feet fetish, sex appeal and atmosphere. I could say it works for me! And the commonality of it means I am not the only one.

Interesting I've never noticed if they kept them on in most of them. I have seen several with them on and several barefoot.

Wish, we recently had this banter in a thread in the womens forum remember? I talked about how it makes a woman stand taller, suck in her tummy, look taller and slimmer and makes her balance in ways she couldnt otherwise for movements that a stripper has to make, all while not overusing certain muscles in the legs that can become very painful with the movements that stripps do.

Personally, I don't like to wear a chunky clunky shoe. They sound horrible on a hard floor.
