I did some modelling for a local art class. We were with six men and to keep costs low, we all had to do some live nude modelling. Youngest member of the class was in his late twenties and I was the oldest. It was coincident that the class was only men. It’s a few years ago but I still remember how liberating it was to stand still and have 5 men around who observed me very intensive. It had nothing sexual. I have been drawing and painting too, so I know how it works. It was very special to observe the differences between all six of us. Being nude at a beach or a sauna is totally different for me.

Modelling for an art class or a photographer is a thrill to do. I can recommend it to every one.

Like you I have not done any photo work, but during my life modelling sessions, I also became partially aroused. It just happens. However, it's not acceptable to get a full blown erection in group circumstances. The artists are not there to witness that! However, on a one to one session with a single artist, its easier to ask for a break and laugh it off.

I'll probably have the opportunity soon to do just that - I may be a little uncomfortable with it at first, but I'm looking forward to it. See the latest pics in my gallery for an idea of the style, I think they're wonderful.

I think everyone needs to look at those photos and then leave multiple adoring comments. :biggrin1:

The photographer made a lot of comments about how I'm the most endowed man he's ever photographed, and how I turned him on a lot too. He said he tries not to get involved that way, but on occasion it's harder than others. He told me I was the perfect package. I felt very flattered. He said he would like to shoot me again, sometime. And I would definitely do it again! It really is fun! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Warning: this is going to be a total buzz killer. First, I think it was wonderful that you did it and I'm so glad that you had fun. Men willing to pose are hard to find, so a photographer really gets lucky when there's a willing guy.

However, a photographer noting sexual interest in you is really unprofessional. Even if it's a pornographic shoot, there's some level of detachment a photographer should keep. If you didn't mind it, that's very cool, but a lot of young women especially get caught working for kind of predatory photographers, and that gives us all a bad name. You know, what they say about not mixing work with pleasure. Okay, buzz kill over.

Theoretically, I'm glad for you that you enjoyed the experience. However, I'd prefer to enjoy the experience too, so share some of the photos when you get them. You look great in the pics on your profile, so I'm sure with an artsy air, you look outstanding!

Yah, the photographer started to ask me some personal questions, but then told me to disregard it all because he didn't know what he was thinking. It's certainly not his intention to have sexual interest, he told me that flat out hours before the shoot. If I remember correctly, he said he was dating somebody too, so I'm not too worried. Plus I trust him. And I can't really blame him being turned on. It happens to the best of us, even if there is no sexual intent. It just does. lol!

I did start to get aroused, partly because the thrill of it all was just very sexy to me. And I felt sexy. Also, when I'm naked in any way that can be considered taboo, it turns me on too. So, yah, I never had a full on erection, but I got pretty close.

Hey, well done KJguy!

Now ther's no turning back for you - especially now you've experienced that nude liberation feeling.

What kind of poses? Were they sexual or just casual nudes?

Just be careful who you pose for though. Make sure the lines are clear before you undress. You're not a piece of meat.

Lol, there really isn't. I guess I'll always be an exhibitionist at heart! Most of the poses were casual, and creative. He positioned my arms and hand to match the indents of my body at one point, and I found that really interesting. And before the shoot I was very wary, because I didn't know anything about this guy. But the messages he wrote me beforehand helped me to believe he was sincere. When I finally did meet and talk with him and get into the shoot, I knew I made a wise choice. We both had made lines clear, so we're good.

After reading this, I think it would be cool to pose for an art class...all those eyes on you. Plus I would love to see the drawings afterward.

Thanks for sharing kjguy..I too would like to see the pics.

I think as you get more comfortable with the idea of nude photography, you can have someone take some erotic photos of you ...without being blatent or graphic. Erotic photos can include having clothes on, such as low hanging jeans; a suggestive location, such as being outdoors; or even an erection, maybe inside of underwear. Erotic doesn't mean a cum shot, necessarily. I have experiemented with all these things and more, both as the photographer and the subject -- both erotic and non, taken in the company of both gay and straight, male and female. The key is having complete control of the images once they are made. Beyond that, the sky is the limit.

Its interesting to see you open up and explore, keep us posted.

There are some pics done from my shoot. The photographer sent me more, then what he posted on his flickr, but you can see some of his work and my modeling at the link below.

Kevin - a photoset on Flickr

They're much better than I expected. There are a lot of "photographers" out there, who aren't really photographers at all - they've just spent thousands of pounds/dollars on a "can do it all" digital camera and just want to ogle nude models, however, this guys has put a lot of artistic thought into your pics. I like the face shots actually, my only criticism is that he didn't celebrate your penis more:wink: But seriously, they are very good. I hope you didnt sign a model release that allows him to take full financial advantage of your image!

Yah, he may do more. And he sent me a few more than he posted. So, we'll see. No, I actually didn't sign anything whatsoever. I have plans for another shoot with him in 2 weeks. And he really appears to be a good guy.

You need to sign a model release. This protects your rights as well as his. Honestly, from working in the field for 10 years, I don't think this guy is very professional-- and though the photos are interesting, acting professional is vital in the photo industry. Be careful.

I really love those photos and faved a couple of them. Congrats on getting that shoot done and having it work out so well.

My favourite is this one:

BTW, I agree with Snoozan that you really should sign a release with him. Just to make it clear who owns the photos, where they can be used and who gets paid what in case any are sold.

What I meant was that you didn't sign AWAY YOUR RIGHTS.

As Snoozan has said, you do need to have some sort of written contract with him otherwise he can use your image and profit from it, as much as he wants. Take care.

Ok thanks everybody, I'll bring it up to him and see what he says. Because I do know he isn't a professional photographer per se. From what he told me, he is more of an aspiring photographer and does this as a hobby. He may not have even thought about model releases and such. But you guys are right, if one day he decides to make profit off my pictures, I'm screwed. I thought of this more as a support for artistic expression, and never really as a big business move. But apparently it could turn into something pretty fast. So thanks everyone, I'll look into it.
