There are some pics done from my shoot. The photographer sent me more, then what he posted on his flickr, but you can see some of his work and my modeling at the link below.

Hmm, and here I thought I was lusty for you BEFORE I saw those. Nice!

Oh, and to answer... I've posed nude for photos, and a couple paintings (art student friends).

There was a thread about this before, but it was ages ago, and I can't find it right now.

Ok thanks everybody, I'll bring it up to him and see what he says. Because I do know he isn't a professional photographer per se. From what he told me, he is more of an aspiring photographer and does this as a hobby. He may not have even thought about model releases and such. But you guys are right, if one day he decides to make profit off my pictures, I'm screwed. I thought of this more as a support for artistic expression, and never really as a big business move. But apparently it could turn into something pretty fast. So thanks everyone, I'll look into it.

I still think it's cool you did the photographs. I did some similar ones, and it's something you'll have your whole life. I like the photos a lot bro. Congrats.

:biggrin1:

Isn't posing nude just the best feeling? Glad you enjoyed your experience. Hopefully you'll have more in the future and share the results here.

I've done photos (see my gallery for a couple), art classes, and even private sessions for painters (although they're a whole 'nother story...). And of course there are going to be comments about size. Hell, that's the whole reason I do it. Well, other than the money and the sex...

I'd love to model professionally some day, but that's a really competitive field. Here's hoping!

Ok, I have another shoot this Saturday, and he posted more from the last shoot onto his flickr, so everyone check it out again if you wish. In a week or so, I'll tell you when more are added.

You need to sign a model release. This protects your rights as well as his. Honestly, from working in the field for 10 years, I don't think this guy is very professional-- and though the photos are interesting, acting professional is vital in the photo industry. Be careful.

What I meant was that you didn't sign AWAY YOUR RIGHTS.

As Snoozan has said, you do need to have some sort of written contract with him otherwise he can use your image and profit from it, as much as he wants. Take care.

OK Advice please! The photographer made up a model release, but with what's written, I don't feel comfortable signing it! After reading it, it is basically signing away my rights. He told me to let him know if I want to add anything, but I need some help as to what. Respond ASAP!

Here's the release he came up with:
For valuable consideration, hereby received, I irrevocably consent to and authorize the use and
reproduction by you, or anyone authorized by you, of any and all photographs which you have this day
taken of me, negative or positive, mechanical or electronic, for any purpose whatsoever, without
restriction, and without further compensation to me.
All negatives, positives, video or audiotapes, electronic !les, together with any prints shall constitute
your property, solely and completely.
I hereby release, discharge and save harmless the photographer, his representatives, assigns, employees, or
any person or corporation acting under the permission of the photographer, including any !rm
publishing or distributing the !nished product, even though the !nished product may be distorted,
blurred, altered or used in composite forms, in conjunction with factual or !ctional text, either
intentionally or otherwise and subject me to scandal, scorn, ridicule, reproach or indignity. I hereby
waive any right to approve the !nished photograph, or any copy, which might be used in conjunction
with the !nished photograph.
I am aware that if any of the photographs taken on this day are published in any form by the
photographer in a memoir, autobiographical book or photographic book I will receive one percent of
the net pro!t. "is will be a standing for ten years from the date this document is signed by me. Beyond
that time I am not committed to receive any monetary compensation.

yes I would pose nude. I'd pose for suggestive photos that didn't show anything, photos that did reveal my bits and pieces tastefully, erotic photos/hardcore, and fetish photos quite likely but it would depend on what they wanted me to do. I'd also do porn too but again it would depend on what they wanted me to do.

That's very similar to what I have people sign.

It's my work. I wouldn't do it if I gave my models creative control over my images-- though commercial clients who pay me are slightly different from people that I pay to model for me.

Look online for model releases and see what other photographers are doing, and you'll get an idea of what's standard.

KJ guy, I hope you don't mind my commenting on how hot you are on the xtube vid. I can see why modeling interests you. You have a perfect body!!

Really, that's standard? Ok, I guess. But the whole subject to ridicule part too? Could you send me a sample of your releases?

This is the deal with the way that is worded and how outlandish it is. Since it's a legal form, it has to cover all the bases-- which means if your photographer at any point in time is working on something you don't approve of for some reason, he's covered. It's worded in such a way that he can keep complete control of what he does with the images.

With that said, if you're uncomfortable with certain parts of it, talk to him about it.

Here's one that is pretty much what I use:

Digital PhotoCorner - Model Release Forms

The thing is, that covers all the same bases anyway without stating the parts that you're objecting to. However, if something like what I posted sits better with you, ask to sign a realease like that. You can also add a clause that says you don't want to be represented in specific ways. It's best to work these things out before you agree to model for someone.

Oh, well. I did the same thing myself many times and have had to remove my own work from my website for not having a clear contract.

I've been seriously considering doing just this for awhile now...just afraid. I used to model swimwear and lingerie so you'd think it would not be that much of a stretch for me, but I worry about who would be viewing them in the case of something more professional as opposed to something done artistically just for me.

Its not really completely nude, but similar, when I was 18 TYR asked me if I would model some swimwear for them in a magazine.
But my mum had some issues with the idea so I said no. I'll probably regret it later, but hey.

KJGuy, if you want to control some of the uses of the photos you can write that into the contract (release). For example, you may fine with the pics in an art coffee table book or a photo exhibit, but not porn website or magazine. Make it clear where and how you will allow the photos to be used.

You can also limit the number of pics he is allowed to use and have editing rights. Although, the photog may find that too restrictive, it just depends on how badly he wants to shoot you.

However, don't be fooled by the written restrictions agreed to by both of you. Once the pics are in the public (as some are now), the web will distribute them in the blink of an eye. (Especially when they are of a young guy with a big dick).

The pics are modest and artistic. I don't think you have much to worry about.

I have done some drawing classes a while back just after I turned 18 and it was pretty fun. i was told I was a good alternative from the usual people. Most models in the city seem to be shorter men who are more built than I am or have more "mass". I am quite tall and slim so you could see more of the structure i guess. I joked apologizing for looking like a holocaust victim. I am aware the holocaust isnt a joke but my built often is. oddly I noticed in the drawings tho my balls tense up in public viewings so that they pull tighter and it makes my hang look far longer. I have found if before you go though you totally need to release or your doomed to get rock hard at some point. Only once was I asked during a session if I could do one "up" All I can recommend is dont stand upright and don't focus on anyone its very rude.

If I were to pose nude it would be fine, as long as I did not do any dick shots or have to show myself hard and erect in a full frontal. It is not that I am not small in that department by any means, it is just that for mass consumption pics I would not be at ease with my dick, hard or soft, being out there for all to see. But the rest of my I would be cool with. My bum is quite nice and I am looking a lot more 'fit' than I have in a while so for the time being I would say yeah, as long as it was tasteful and on my terms posing nude would be fine with me. Playgirl magazine is something that would be cool to do.
