Well, the "Obama Effect*" even works on Obama himself.

After the Health Care "Summit," Obama once again attained his LOWEST approval rating. (-21).

You would think such a "smart guy" would start making the connection that most people do not want this agenda pursued, at least in its current form.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll - Rasmussen Reports

*The Obama Effect, in this post, is defined as any goal or person Obama campaigns for results in the failure of that goal or person. (See Chicago Olympics, Climate Summit, Martha Coakley, etc etc etc)

I laugh when I consider people take polls seriously.

Wow... wishing for the opposition to win, to maintain the status quo on healthcare just to protect what you think is your major tax contribution and for many other less fortunate people to die. Keep it up, guys. You expose more of your ignorance and morally bankrupt selves the longer the man you hate is in office.

I can only wonder just how vile you can get. But please do. It'll only lead to more heartbreak for you come election time.

So you actually think the majority of the country approves of the job Obama is doing? Yeah, and that's what got Scott Brown elected too... Have some more KoolAid.

    Ah, yes... Scott Brown.
One of the five Republicans that actually sided with Democrats with the passing of the recent Jobs bill. What was that you thought (or dreamed) about the minority blocking everything to make Obama look bad? Even some of your boys know when it's not kosher to play ball and do what's best for the country.

Thanks for the Kool-Aid, BTW. Despite the overused double entendre it still quenches thirst. Too bad a bitch like you still yearns for even a drop of knowledge.

Oh yes, it's totally Obama's fault the IOC picked Rio de Janeiro over Chicago. If it weren't for him, that totally would've swung the '16 games to the US.

And's absolutely Obama's fault nothing significant came out of Copenhagen. If only it'd been McCain. Competing economic interests had nothing to do with it.

And it's all because of Obama that Scott Brown got elected. Martha Coakley's terrible campaign in which she didn't even try played no role in that.

It sure is great to see you again Ericsson. Now why don't you disappear again so I can miss you some more?

It's clear that his efforts relating to bipartisanship have failed miserably. His PR machine that labeled him 'The Great Uniter," and "The Great Communicator" are not sleeping well these days.

Instead of moving all the levers on healthcare and mugging Medicare - why didn't they just sell it like this:

"Those of you have that have insurance - nothing much will change. Those that don't have access to employer insurance will now have it - and it will cost just a little bit more, but America will be healthier and safer."

Instead they give us this convoluted, pork-ridden pile of excrement that even the uneducated know is a bad bill.

It would seem then, that the people on this board that support the bill have to be even less aware of what's going on than the average uneducated citizen.

Again, much like the president, it's either pure stupidity or willful deceit.

    Sorry...
At least now, everyone can acknowledge the fact that he at least tried to do it on a bipartisan level. This talk about him not doing it is just as disingenuous as saying the Healthcare bill has death panels. The problem is, Republicans saw their opportunity to "work together" as a means to make demands instead of finding a middle ground or compromise.

Most people in America knew that a biparisan rule on the subject of Health Care was not going to happen. Much to the chagrin of many Americans who just wanted to see some progress, Obama insisted on giving it more shots. He essentially went above & beyond to make things "bipartisan". Now, even he realizes that they're simply going to say no unless he starts the entire process over which is another dishonest gripe considering they have no real plan themselves.

Time to move on, groove on... before you get snoozed on.

The "bipartisan health summit" was a joke. Basically, it was "here is the bill. You can either get on board or we will pass with reconciliation."

To believe that there was any consideration of Republican ideas shows that you didn't watch any of it.

When the only real idea the Republicans provided for 8 hours was several thesaurus-ridden statements suggesting to "kill the bill and start over", it's more evidence that they came to a summit with no real thoughts, plans or suggestions. Just an agenda... one that we all knew wasn't going to happen anyhow. Reconciliation is synonymous to compromise. Which means both parties in an argument don't come at each other with a list of demands. Many Republicans have been doing nothing but expressing ultimatums instead of seeing what is currently in the bill and proposing a sensible revision. If they were really in the game to pass health reform, this is the behavior they would have engaged in. However, when your only goal is to "win in 2010/12" and take back the White House, common sense goes completely out the window.

Regardless, watching you whine, bitch and moan now is just icing on the cake. Didn't I call this? I told you months ago when the Senate Bill passed that they were going to go through reconciliation. You acted as if that was never going to happen and that Republicans would be able to block everything. Oops!

Not in the Senatorial sense. Reconciliation there means "we don't have enough votes to get our way, so we will short-circuit the system to get our way anyway."

Actually it means we don't have 60 votes but we DO HAVE A MAJORITY of votes so let's bypass this antiquated Cloture shit.

51 votes is necessary to pass a bill. Period. Those are the rules. That is a majority. So sorry if you can't follow basic logic, or if Democrats found a way to get away from the blatant obstruction presented by "your kin".

Besides, where you when Republicans used reconciliation 5 times last Congress? And how does it feel to be exposed as a bigoted hypocrite again?
