Doesn't have to be anything important.

Texas has waffle irons shaped like the state of Texas. I googled out of curiosity and I can't find any for any other state, but they're pretty common out here (if someone has a waffle iron at home, there's a reasonable chance it's shaped like Texas). A lot of hotel chains operating in the state have the TX shaped ones at their breakfast too.

I live about 5-6 miles from Northern Virginia's future home of Amazon HQ2.

I've lived in Northern Virginia since 1973, and this is the first time I've ever heard of "National Landing". I am not alone.

Traffic in that area (Crystal City, Pentagon City and Potomac Yards) is already challenging. Major North/South commuter artery already maxed out with traffic. Not sure how they'll expand the roadway infrastructure; glad I don't live near there!

What is National Landing? Northern Virginia neighborhoods rebrand due to Amazon's HQ2

What some definitely don't know about New Mexico: that it's even a part of the US at all.

The only time I traveled out of state (besides brief trips to neighboring states, which barely counts as traveling to New Mexicans) was a week long trip to Georgia. I got asked on several occasions by locals "Can I see your green card?... I've never seen one in person before" and "Wow, you speak really good English", which is too funny because that sentence is grammatically incorrect.

It's sad because this isn't the first time I've heard of this. The guy that told me a similar story was born in New Mexico and was also visiting Georgia.
