Many times while having PIV sex my wife likes it when I stop moving (most threads emphasize don't stop in lead up to orgasm). Once I stop her vagina will start to pulse like when she has an orgasm, only it is without orgasm (feels great for me). She needs clitoral stimulation to orgasm (either from a hand or my pelvis). She will sometimes have this "pulsing without orgasm" in prone doggy as well when I stop moving - never leads to orgasm from behind. Can also occur when I use my hands and stop - often leads to really strong orgasm once I start rubbing her clit again.

So the question. Does this ever happen to you? Do you like it? Any idea what causes vaginal pulsing before orgasm or without orgasm? Does a sudden stop feel great to you?

I have no agenda. I'm just curious and I have never read about this phenomena anywhere.

That's pretty interesting. Thank you.

I sometimes like for my partner to stop and hold exactly where I want right before climax, but I'm not aware of this including and contractions on my part, nor do I need him to start again for me to pop.

Sometimes I do feel contractions without orgasm, usually when I'm masturbating. I haven't noticed a common thread to draw any conclusions as to cause.

I'm not much help, I'm afraid.

Not really in the way you describe. Apart from involuntary contractions during orgasm, I think I involuntarily contract without orgasm sometimes if the action suddenly stops - kind of like my body has gathered momentum or as a reflex to the 'right' spot being hit. But it's not something I seek to include on purpose, or have really thought about until now. I mean, I wouldn't tell him to stop so I could do it. It's usually when I orgasm though.

I'm not much help either lol

Can’t help you either. I like the stopping, too, but it’s because I’m actually having an orgasm and I’m pressing myself against him. So....yeah, no help.

Actually yes. It's not something that happens every time, and it's not often that we stop and just feel each other.. but this has happened to me before, only when I'm super close to cumming. It's not during the actual orgasm, but it leads up to one.

If my memory serves me correctly, it's happened only in the missionary position, and it's only happened when we're both close to climax but don't want to finish yet. So for me, it's probably related to my orgasm.

Thank all of you for your responses.

Ill just add - I don't have a problem or issue. I like my sex life and my wife. I was only asking because in everything that I had ever read, vaginal contractions occur with orgasm or just after. There is even porn dedicated to showing vaginal contractions with the idea that because a vagina is rythmically contracting an orgasm must be occurring.

Once again the female sexual response is amazingly complex, rich, and fun to explore.

Usually when I feel some vaginal pulsing but no discernible orgasm, I call it a bum orgasm. By this I mean I got no peaking and subsequent contractions, just a bit of pulsing after masturbating for a few minutes.

I've also felt what I'd describe as pulsing or throbbing after a good orgasm, usually for at least 10 minutes or so after a spectacular one.

So I guess I'm not much help either
