My experience was similar in that I produced a little bit of precum at first a few months before I actually had my first ejaculation. I thought then I was already producing sperm. The ejaculation took me by surprise several months later. I mistook that precum and cum were one event and only later did I learn that they can be and are two independent events. It took me 9 years later and some anatomy and physiology courses to learn where precum is produced and that it can be produced in enormous quantities that it can constantly drip on a guy.
