I saw some of the debate, although admittedly half asleep at the time. I seem to have been left with the impression they are both awfully old. It was a slanging match of who can say the worst about their opponent and make the most fantastical best claims for themself. They both seemed tired and uninspiring.
The commentators seem to think trump did well, at least under the circumstances. But the uncertainty from the clairvoyants who predict the results (er, pollsters) seems to be they do not know who will win.
I think Trump will benefit in some quarters from the leaked recordings of him speaking. In some ways I was surprised he prevaricated instead of simply saying yes, so what? But I guess it is a question of trying to grab the more uncertain voters.
The lesson of Brexit was that saying the most fantastical things works.
I see that members of the republican party have started to defect from the Trump campaign. I seems Trump potentially could result in clean sweep of democrats throughout government. But the uncertainity in how people react still means the whole result of all three government elections could go either way. I predict more outsiders standing next time!
Would anyone want either of them?
. Every point trump made either has or will backfire on him. He didn't do any research what so ever. Didn't prepare even after getting his ass handed to him in the first debate.
I really dont think it matters.Trump is not standing as the expert on world affairs, but the complete antithesis of this. Thats his point, really, that he is not an expert politician. Some people will no doubt say the less he knows, the safer we all are. He is the f*** politicians and f*** political correctness candidate.
