I have to agree with Lapdog there, we love you because of ALL your beauty, not just the physical. I have noticed that most of my female friends are very pretty, so I guess I must be shallow, but I like looking at them as well as being involved in their lives. I recently had this conversation with a guy I saw briefly after he met some of my friends and was making a huge fuss over what a great body one of them had (great conversation for a new relationship, don't you think? "Hey your girlfriend is really hot"). I already know how pretty my friends are, I don't need some dufus to point it out to me!

BB, you are very pretty, and that is a lucky thing, but you are also a deeply sensitive and caring person, and that is a choice. Thanks for being all the wonderful things we enjoy so much about you, Jana

My wife once asked me to visit a "colorist", ie... someone who help people pick out wardrobes based on the colors that fit them best. I humored her, not thinking it made any sense, and I was both wrong in that assessment and learned a lot. I simply had no sense of taste when it came to how I looked. Grooming more than anything else will help land a good job, a good lover, and a good life. Napoleon's Josephine was fat and ugly (if the historians are correct), but was one of the most sought-after women of her time because of her wit and her sense of taste and dress.

Hi,

Another amazing style maven with much charm was Wallis Warfield Simpson, the late Duchess of Windsor. She was not a conventionally beautiful woman, but her grooming, her sense of style, and her razor wit made a king give up his throne, "For the woman he loved".

I once read where Edward used his affair with Mrs. Simpson as an excuse to get out of being King in order to continue his life style in favor of his younger (much more sober and reasonable) brother, who he felt would also make a better sovereign. Who knows.

Women always point to a man's sense of confidence as a most appealing factor. It is the same with men, of course, though we often unfortunately misinterpret forwardness and resoluteness negatively, looking too much toward how a woman presents herself visually as a gauge of her confidence. A great measure of a man's confidence for a woman is how he reacts to hers.

Grooming fits into the visual part of confidence. We forget that the "grooming" or presentation of our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, etc... is also just as important. We respond to forthright but reasonable speech and conversation much better than ranting and haphazard blithering, which is only bad oral grooming at its heart, because the ideas behind may have value.

I ramble myself....
