both my female cousin and her best friend are hot.but are turning 30 soon and are convinced that the end is near for them.they turn heads where ever they go, from church to concerts(i can't take them to baseball games anymore 'cause of all the attention and constant flow of guys that ask them out, sometimes girls as well)and they still think that they are hitting the wall...
but i find alot of the other women i know that are really good looking are kind of the same when it comes to issues of age, going out in public to run errands, ect.
do women ever grow out of that?

Nope, I know I'm still pretty insecure about a lot of things, especially when it comes to men.

Well, I'm insecure. Does that mean I'm pretty?
No Veronica, you are more of the drop-dead gorgeous variety.

Hullo Dougie -- hate to tell you this, but it WON'T get better as they get older. A lot of pretty women have their identity and self-worth wrapped up in their looks... and looks have a nasty habit of fading with time.

If a girl has no idea who/what/where she will be when she gets older, and if she doesn't like what she DOES see in the future... ouch!

PS: It will improve a LITTLE when they DO turn 30 and find out that it wasn't the end of the world after all, but generally speaking they will have a hard time dealing with looks/age unless they develop SOMETHING about themselves that gets them as much (or more) attention and admiration than just their looks.

It's not like I walk around with a bag over my face. However, an ill-timed nasty comment can kinda ruin my day. The fact this is cyber doesn't matter. What about the thousands of us who have been tormented and tortured in person by men about our physical appearance from adolesence on into adulthood. Those are the wounds that I often describe as being, "engraved on my mind with a switchblade."

A separate issue is media perception of beautiful. That is the most damaging to us because women and men buy into it.

Read this thread for proof that women are often tormented by men about their appearance as adults as well.:frown1: This is why many of us are so insecure in spit of our percieved hotness.

For comic relief rent Logan's Run.

What Hotmilf said.

I would love to have a rant about the shallowness of modern culture, celebrity et al, but then I would have to admit that I am an old git.

BTW I can't think of anything more boring than a young woman who thinks everything revolves around her dimples and perky tits. Please God, don't ever let me meet Paris Fucking Hilton.

I would specify it further and say that, simply, any girl who isn't a size zero is insecure. And even then a size zero can be and usually is insecure (or has some other problem). I think its really sad...I've cared about some beautiful people (inside and out) who thought they were 'fat' or 'disgusting' etc.

I spose oppositely, I don't care how I look and most days I probably look homeless or 'rough'. But I could care less what others think

I just wish a lot of girls saw the beauty within them and that you don't need to be skinny to be attractive. Just have big tits :biggrin1: lol.

But yes, I am deeply saddened about this and I hope my ex (who will most likely read this) can be happy being the beautiful person that she is

No. I'm no stunner by any means but I do suffer really bad body image/self esteem issues. However, I only have myself to blame as I let myself get overweight and although I've lost a lot of the excess weight (38lbs over the last 18 months) my skin has lost a lot of elasticity etc & the figure I once had is gone for good.
Mind you, I have found a wonderful man who loves me for who I am rather than what I look like & he does a wonderful line in ego boosting. Bless him!

Well, no wonder! Do you know how many nights I lay awake worrying about who is the "real" Dolfette -- the image in your gallery, or the ones you show in your avatars... ha ha ha bonk (translation: laughing head off)

Read this thread for proof that women are often tormented by men about their appearance as adults as well.:frown1: This is why many of us are so insecure in spit of our percieved hotness.

...the same could be said about guys with sub-anaconda dicks and websites like this. In the case of women's beauty as well, the notion that you are lacking in some God-given endowment be it nice floppy boobies, birth-girth dicks and/or just plain good looks is more an issue of society and media.

However, no one MAKES women buy beauty magazines... I mean I go into a magazine store.. and I see guys reading magazines about cars, health, media, photography, computers, games, art, nekid women (well, looking at the pictures), and fashion. meanwhile I see women just looking at magaziens about beauty aids and styling. I don't see them reading about computer magazines, cars, media, art, photography... I just see this insatiable need for them to rank themselves against other women in the area of looks.. not even smarts.

Culturally, too, women seemed raised to concern themselves soley with their appearance, and less on their 'content" or character. I've notice that european women tend to be more balanced in that when I speak to them, we are more like equals. Here in the states, alot of women gauge their self importance on their looks. And its a sad thing to see when they fade. So many women here refuse to have freckles, go do rediculas surguries... and don't blame it just on the guys. Many of you women do this to yourself.

I mean seriously, if you spent far less time being an attention whore and focus on building your own self confidence so that what some shallow guy thinks become irrelevant, you would be much better off. I mean looking at some of the women here with the mixed messages: I mean you have some that post like tens or hundreds of photos of themselves with their tits hanging out and their pussies spread basically in public here, and then you get a paragraph of a signature stating all of the different ways you CAN'T contact them.

and then comes your own shit decision making... like giving some hot guy carte blanche on how they treat you "because he's hot". I'll tell you something, "because he's hot" he's got ALL his options open... meaning that chances are that he has a rolling rolladex of chicks looking to chop on his knob. Its just reality. So don't work up a pretty piece of fiction in your head to convince you that you're the only one in his life.

Show some confidence, show some independance.. you broads wanted it.. so take it. You know the kind of balls it takes for an average joe to talk to some of you monsters in a bar? You're all trotting around with impenetrable ice. No wonder it takes a shameless playa to penetrate that. Recently Lee_M talked about how some pencil dicked dude got into her pants after lying about having and Gangus Shlong... well hello!! why even give a tactless shit like that the time of day?

Sorry, ladies, but you get NO SYMPATHY from this average joe. I've had female managers that think with their respective "dicks" just like any man in their position... they turned their departments into a cronie sorority, while they hired men based upon their looks. Same shit, different sex. same reason: insecurities.

So you want to make a difference? raise your daughters differently.. have them play with toys that engage their intelect like building toys. Let them interact with boys as equals in sports and the like. Discourage your girls from just having just a circle of "girlfirends", where they just suffer from "analysis pararlysis" regarding men instead of engaging in real life activities with boys and men. Don't make them feel like their bodies are dirty, and that they should treat it with the proper reverance, and how modesty will always surpass gaudiness.

perhaps then, there will be less self victimizing monsters that I meet in bars, and instead more women who are confident with their big hips and little boobs, and who view working out as a means to their own inner self peace and health rather than trying to get a body that is genetically impossible. And if some hot guys wants some 24" waist with a set of DD, well then just move on to the next guy inteadof trying to please Mr. Mission Impossible...

True. I dont buy fashion or beauty mags. My last magazine buying consisted of a porn mag (for nostalgia purposes!), Livingetc (interior design) & a rugby mag...

Hear, hear!

As a "hot" mom raising a "hot" daughter, one of the top things I try to teach her is KINDNESS to males. Decent manners are just not taught anymore. (My daughter also just finished high school -- 2 yrs early -- and although she wants to spend a few years being a model, her focus is on the sciences and whether to be a marine biologist or a doctor.)
