I have no idea if african american men are supposed to be HUGE, or not. The only "stereotype" that I have heard has been more along the lines of "the average flaccid size of the african american male tends to be larger than the average flaccid size of caucasians"

Bananas Foster sounds good. I made that for my ex once. I still have my bottle of 99 Bananas. Now I need a bottle of Bacardi. Pecans. Homemade Frozen Custard. Sugars and spices. Oh, course, de bananas!!!! Bananas Foster was a dessert originated in New Orleans. Named after a NOLA official that frequented a French/ Southern restaurant (I forgot the name of the restaurant--I want to say it is Gallatoire's.) The chef made that dish up and served it to this official and he raved over it so much--the chef dubbed it Bananas Foster.

If I do come up there, I will coming via Underground AmTrak. I believe that they will be having fried chick'n n' waddermelun, oker, greenbacks n' slabs (collard greens and ribs), grits and cheese biskits on the way up so I think the other fine things you were going to have would be fine for me. Hehehehe.

I hope you enjoy culinary school. Sounds like fun to me. Get good grades and work for Oprah or Donald Trump as their personal chef.

Since it's my favorite dessert, I have a little info on it :smile: . The restaurant was Brennan's. I'm hoping it survived all the mess down there, since one of my goals is to explore the city. It's probably a multitude of reasons, but during the formative ages of 12-17 when a white slut learns to be a slut they often overdose on white meat; it loses its appeal. They have to move on to more meaty dishes. They've idealized a certain hue of dick and after a while this concept becomes entirely inflated to irrational extremes. They just about literally worship that particular hue of dick, which validates their sluttiness in their minds because it's of a higher grade, outside of their assumed default class.

Oh, I try. I work really hard to be decent, take care of myself, improve, be a good son, and maintain a positive outlook towards mankind. Obviously, I still all too frequently run into too many people who are only interested in the screen-saver I project, or who simply paint a stereotypical image over me, when neither is remotely close to who and what I am. No worries, some day he'll come along :redface: . Of course, then I plan to make him so glutted with sex, pleasure and food he won't be able to leave.....

I strongly recommend the following book. It's all about the expectations on African-American men that they be hugely hung. It's a good read.....

by Scott Poulson-Bryant

It just came out a few months ago and is all about what you are struggling with.

One of my my closet friends is a black Dutch guy and he is not as well hung as I am and he often jokes that he wishes he could just borrow my dick for the night to match people's - especially American guys' - expectations.

So I've heard first-hand the kind of pressure you are talking about...

One thing that the book's author writes about frequently is how gay men often say " what a big, beautiful black dick" whereas they never say "what a big beautiful white cock."....

THe latter I have heard from a few African-American men (a couple of times I suspect as a joke)..but he's right: I hear "huge dick" or "great dick" or "enormous dick" but the color of my skin is never mentioned.....Gives one pause for thought

Thanks for the reference, I'll have to look that one up. Your other comments now have me reviewing how I compliment other men, and if sub-concious racism is sneaking in. I enjoy men of all shades, and I like to think that I focus more on the inner person, since that's how I'd like to be treated. When there's an eclipse and I get another "date" I'll have to set a part of my mind to monitor my vocal interactions.

There's a book actually on this topic that talks about such an issue in explicit detail. It's called "Hung" and written by some guy who works at Vibe magazine. I read an except that was in the magazine and it was actually pretty good.

In the book he talks about the first time he was "White girled"...meaning he messed with this white chick and she was like "I thought you'd be bigger" and he was like "Wha?!" He was obvious bigger than the other guys around, cause the white girl kept coming back :biggrin1:, but he also mentions she used to keep talking about how big he "should" have been.

He goes on to talk about the pressures black men have to face because of stereotypes, period. He addresses them all and if not for the fact that having the book would have numerous people I know (I'm pretty well known where I am) looking at me like I prolly woulda bought it. It's a good read for those who like books, though.

I think that'd be something that wouldn't come for a while. While some believe we've got black equality (for the most part, but institutionally no) it'd be hard to push for no more black stereotypes. Why?

Because that runs the entertainment business. We have to be the thugs, we have to be ghetto, we have to be the ignorant man who can't talk straight, we have to be the baby momma with 6 kids by the time she's 19, we have to be the ho, we have to be the stud, we have to be the big black man with the insatiable craving to rape white women, we have to like watermelon, we have eat chicken and drink beer.

Hey all, I'm fairly new to the forum, and really love the support. I periodically encounter this boggling situation, and wondered if it happens to others:

I'm an African-American man. I've inherited a reasonably generous genetic endowment from my father's side, if the swim outings with some of my uncles and cousins on that side are any indicator. I'm quite happy with my equipment, and I like the way it looks in relation to the rest of my body. I've encountered an odd sort of peculiarity from occasional partners, in that they've expressed surprise that I'm not even more endowed. I've even had one date terminate the encounter because he, a Caucasian, was better endowed than I! One man had the gall to inquire as to whether I was purely Black, and one of the few women in my past stated she was disappointed because she thought all men of color were in the double digits. While the men on my mother's side are more moderately equipped, none of them have confessed to hearing any similar complaints.

Is this a normal circumstance? And does anyone have a suitable reply, other than my standard, abrupt departure?

Maybe you should'nt expect so much from White People who have not had the benefit of considerable exposure to African-Americans. You really should'nt invest your energy into TEACHING these White People how hurtful
such reactions are. SIMPLY DEAL WITH THOSE WHO DO BETTER BECAUSE THEY KNOW BETTER.
