I went shopping yesterday, I found the High Street surprisingly normal, it could have been any shopping day, unlike most people I like Christmas shopping, I find the bustle of people, the squeeze to get to the counter atmospheric and evocative

Maybe I'm mad.

Here in Brighton SP, yesterday, was like Hell on Earth. I think it must be a guy thing, I generally hate shopping, most of my girlfriends seem to love it, and my guy friends tend to hate it.

I just went to Manchester, but I heard the Trafford Centre was diabolical, but that's always full on any day of the year, people come to gawk at the Assyrian section I think - who the fuck had the idea to put an Assyrian section in a shopping centre? It could possibly be pseudo Egyptian on second thoughts.
