Problem staying soft in public showers?

I'm not well hung (6,5 x 6,1"). I'm a hung fan, gay and will never stop loving big cocks (worships them all). But one problem for me is public showers. After training at the gym I hit the showers and most time there is no problems, but I'm boning up every time someone with a big cock is in there and showering. Am I the only one with this problem?

Being anxious about getting an erection tends (in my case at least) to mean ... getting an erection, pretty well whatever the context.

At the gym I am always fine unless someone stares at me, as people tend to if you are well endowed.

Fortunately I haven't had this problem, although if I did I would probably avoid public showers. You might want to consider joining a gym with stall showers if the erections are truly unavoidable ... not only to avoid embarrassment yourself, but also so none of the men around you take offense or misconstrue your erection as some sort of harassment.

Of course, that doesn't mean act inappropriately .... but I don't think you're doing that. And ya sure don't have to have a boner to act inappropriately.

It's not a problem for me. I have been using open showers for over 20 years now, and I'm used to it. If it happens, don't make a big deal out of it, finish up and leave. All guys know that you get unwanted erections at inopportune times, so I think most guys understand when it happens. I've only ever seen one guy out of the thousands that I have showered with over the years that had a raging hard-on in the shower. I think it was more nervous energy than anything else. He wasn't doing anything to encourage it, and he wasn't being lewd about it, so no one cared. I couldn't understand though why he didn't just use a stall (the shower room had both). Maybe he was trying to desensitize himself to that environment.

Here is the trick I learned from my roommate.

If you jerk off before hand, it sort of decreases the horny nature of your cock. I recommend taking a few minutes before you go, if possible and just rub one out.

It was a major act of courage for me to join a gym in my late twenties, the fear of getting a boner in the shower was so intense in high school, and I get boners really easily.
It happens. No one freaks. Some guys pretend to be shampooing so they can hide the fact that they are checking it out. Some guys may be thinking; "I'm glad that's not me!" or maybe "Can I get his number without the other guys noticing?" Who knows.
What I have done over the years is try hard to focus on something unpleasant: open heart surgery, fat women covered in hairy warts (sorry if this is you) or whatever it takes to keep my mind off of my boner.
And sometimes I rinse off quick, run out, only to have to stand in the very small space that my gym has to towel off, trying not to bump into guys.

It happened to me once when I was a sophomore in high school. I was teased about it and very embarrassed.

Here's what happened to me once at the Minneapolis YMCA. I posted it once before.

Upon arriving at the YMCA to use the indoor track (I couldn't run outside with the snow and ice), a black kid, probably about 16, asked me where the weight room was, and I told him.
