Mrs. Lex is a big fan of red (the color) and we are both fans of doing our part to help others. My daughter, for example, went door to door after the tsumani, collecting change to donate (she was 7 at the time). She gave all the money in her bank at that time. See how this stuff rubs off on kids?
At any rate, I have purchased a few Product (Red) products (Red Ipod nano, tshirt) and thought I would throw the idea out there. Participating companies give a portion of their profits to purchase retro-viral HIV meds for Africans. The Gap gives half of its profits, for example.
There is a nifty page on the site where you can calculate the impact of your purchases.
So far, my purchases have bought a month's worth of retro-viral medication.

Anyone else thought about this at all? The Manifesto is brilliantlly written, IMO.
