Proper Girth Measurement - Base, Thickest Point, Or Mid-shaft?

When reading how to properly measure length, it's easy enough. But I can't seem to get a straight answer on girth, and where you measure makes a lot of difference.

Several studies say they measure "at the base" and others say "at the thickest part" while others just say "mid-shaft."

Here's a measurement at the very base of my dick:

That's 6.375" by my count. But if I move up the shaft a bit and measure again:

Then it's 6" instead. At the thinnest near the glans it's about 5.75" I've just averaged it out and said 6" because I don't know what's "correct."

Anyway, I'm curious what "correct" means, or what others use.

It's not well-defined for sure. If you're into "marketing" to impress, I think the "base" measurement will always be the largest for most guys. And cock aficionados will often talk about the head separately because it's often significantly smaller or larger than the shaft. No clear answers. For me, it's pretty simple because my shaft is uniform diameter and the head is the same diameter as the shaft - so I can just say 6.25" and be done with it. Personally, I don't consider the "base" measurement important because, well, who penetrates that deep? Just my 2-cents worth! (nice cock, by the way!)

If I measured my erect cock at the base I get 4.75"

Measure girth anywhere else above that and its closer to 4.4"

The difference is over a quarter inch, and that is significant. I would never claim my base girth as my "girth" because most of it that is seen and used is the thin part.

I have a thin cock, and trying to believe it isn't because the very base is thicker would be disingenuous!

I dont think its right to ignore base girth but it shouldnt be considered your girth measurement. I think a weighted average be used to best capture it. I’m sure a more accurate calc can be done but for example mid shaft x (2/3) + base x (1/3).
