I think that there has long been the point of view in the American movie industry that male nudity in the movies is more important to gay men than to other movie goers. Jack Valenti, who was once the president of the MPAA, actually went as far as to suggest this when he was once asked about the scarcity of male frontal nudity in comparison to female frontal nudity in Hollywood movies.

The scarcity was increasingly apparent to me growing up..apparently for obvious gay reasons. It sucks realizing the naked female form put forward in movies is probably because of the power, desire, and influence of straight men mostly. I saw SO many tits just trying to find even a glimpse of a man's ass.
