I drink a protein shake every morning on the way to work, but I do it for one reason only: I don't eat enough protein. I'm not an enormous fan of meat, and when I started analyzing my daily diet, I realized that it was very protein-deficient. I also needed to consume more dairy.
So I have a cup of milk mixed with Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein. I like this particular kind because it mixes so easily. I just put it in a plastic cup that has a lid, shake it a few times, and it dissolves quickly.
I've tried Designer Whey before, but I didn't think it dissolved nearly as well. It probably would with a blender, but I don't really feel like cleaning a blender all the time.
I have noticed a significant improvement in my general well-being since I started supplementing protein (maybe about 6 months ago)? I would recommend it for anyone who eats randomly (like I do) and doesn't pay much attention to how much protein they're getting.
