Those who said that Fred and his group aren't the brightest bunch has it right. he once wanted to come picket at my church - not because of me, but because of another member who worked for a newspaper and wrote something he didn't like. Well, the paper got word that Fred & Co. were going to picket -- at the wrong church. So a group of us got on the phone with him in a conference call and said, "Fred, if you want to picket, here's where to be; leave those poor people alone." [Actually, he should have gone there -- he would have been received with open arms and, one hopes, at least would have been most confused.] Well, Fred just said that obviously the fags had gotten to us and we were trying to throw him off the scent. So we called the other church, apologized, and of course Fred & Co. showed up there. They came to our church the following week when the spotter he sent to our church (on the off chance that we fag-lovers just might have been telling the truth) duly noted that the target of the picketing was indeed there.
But all this free speech stuff really is a fine line. There are lots of people in this country (many who live near Fred, coincidentally) who think that we shouldn't be allowed to talk about big dicks online because a child might see it. Unfortunately, speech is pretty much all in the same boat - either everyone gets to talk or no one does. Or the worst: everyone gets to talk but only say what the government wants them to.
