All PS3s can play PS1 games unless there is a flaw in the PS3 itself. The first two generation of PS3s could play PS2 games. First Gen had the EmotionEngine actually in the PS3, second could emulate 99% of games (so they said). If you could find one at a store that accept trade ins for PS3s and maybe even PS2s to save money on the cost. Of course first gen PS3s are pretty rare in my experience.

If you aren't going to play it again, I'd trade it in. I only have games that I want own.

Yea I trade it-in. Thankfully I have the new Gamestop Rewards card so I at least get something for trading old games in.

At first, I didn't want one, but now with all the games out and the kinds of games that are out, I really want a PS3. Some games just feel so much better to play them on Playstation.

Fallout 3 and Little Big Planet are the only 2 games I've found that are even half-worth the cost.

I only paid $2 for my copy of Fallout 3.

I also really like being able to play bluray movies. I rent them from The Red Box a lot, plus I have some bluray movies of my own (V for Vendetta, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and American Psycho).

I wanted to do my civic duty and upload my trade-in values on some PS2 and PS3 games I turned in at Gamestop, only to be told that I gotta wait 30 days because I have a new account. That's dumb! By the time I could put up my values, who says they're worth that much anymore?

I just beat Atelier Rorona a few days ago. The ending was a bit of a disappointment, but supposedly there's a whole ton of them to unlock.

If the game is still fun, I keep playing it.

I compare it to watching an enjoyable movie, just because you've seen it and all the extra features, doesn't mean you won't want to watch it again.
