Just out of interest is the use of the word toilet instead of bathroom or restroom seen as rude in North America. I've seen Americans gave Brits some strange looks when they use the word toilet (which is common in the UK).
Can't speak for all Americans and this is a simplification, but usually a bathroom is in a person's house and usually a restroom is out in a public place (restaurant) and the toilet is the actual porcelain thing you piss into. Most Americans do NOT say toilet as the room they are going to piss in.
