    Simple solution... would they object to other holy symbols placed on this land?
    if not, then by all means let it stay. If this is an issue of being truly equal and a person's right to follow whatever religion they like, then there shouldn't be a problem with someone building or placing another religious symbol in the vicinity of the cross.

    Of course, if there is a problem (and I'm sure many would make one out of it), then NO holy symbol should be there at all. Even a cross.

    Because some people are intolerant of "their" religious sumbols being displayed next to "those" peoples.

    The Islamic approach used by the Jihadists is to simply destroy other religious symbols.
