Firstly, I hate the analogy of giving birth and a vagina's stretchability. Utterly stupid.
Secondly, the poster who said a vagina can take on any length... another stupid post. There is a depth limit, period.
Thirdly, don't use just any lube, use lube you know will cooperate with your body chemistry. Took my wife and I a lot of trial and error, but ID Millenium is the best lube we've tried for regular sex. You may need to re-apply after 45 minutes. For hot tub sex, Wet Platinum is best. Again, use lube that mixes well with your chemistry. As far as cleanup after using silicone based lube, use Afterglow Tissues.
If any tearing occurs, your forchette will go first. Make sure there is an extra amount of lube in that area.
After sex, after cleanup, grab a cold wet face towel and use it as a cold compress until the soreness goes away. That'll deal with the surface rawness. We still have to find the perfect solution for the internal soreness.
