Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?

Yet another question... Do you think that gay men would have an edge on straight men if they actually were attracted to women? Do you think that the opposite sex is lazy or clueless because of the hormonal thing? I ask this because of the numbers of women friends I have who continue to fall hopelessly for that fabulous gay friend who is not within reach. Do you think it is the forbidden fruit syndrome or do those who prefer the same sex have an edge? Also visa versa? Do you think gay men have an edge being a man in knowing what men want?

( Look at RU PAUL, most women I know are not going to go to all of that trouble to look great!)

The unattainable always has a strong allure; some women's desire for a gay guy may have a little in common with my daughter's longing for Justin Timberlake (at the moment -- there have been others). What you can't have always has a certain appeal.

But I also think you are right --- that men and women can be equally clueless about the needs and thought patterns of the opposite sex.

robbnks: We always want things we cant have. We will always be compared/contrasted to things different from us. This helps us to have a place to decide if our expectations are grounded and somewhat normal.

gigantikok: I'll second that, it's basic human nature to want what we can't have. Plus, I'm sure it's attractive that gay men don't appear to be ruled by their penises... well, at least not towards women!
