I have no obligations. Nor do I want a camera.

My appearance often distracts from what I am trying to do, so posting them will not meet my objectives.

Very Cool Thread…

Personally I can relate to a lot of what has been said already in this thread. Mostly because I have been on most all sides of the spectrum, at one time or another, when it comes to this issue of: posting pics of myself publicly. However, for me, it is all reduced to simple logic. If you met me walking down the street, the first thing you would notice about me would not be my naked body or exposed penis (I don’t even think that’s legal in most places…lol). Likewise in any public setting (virtual and otherwise), I see no difference (in spite of what others might argue) in how I should present myself. This does not mean I will not respect your right to remain anonymous. Everyone is entitled to present themselves as they see fit. And just as I reserve the right to only reveal my “naked self” to those I am physically intimate with, individuals concerned with the professional repercussions of being found in a potentially compromising position, or those who just are shy about showing what they look like, are equally entitled not to show themselves at all. What ever the case, the fact that you all as individuals found it not robbery to invest some part of yourself in this specific setting, have already done far more then I could really expect of you otherwise. And this makes all the difference. Because in the end, as long as you are as real with others as you are with yourself, you will be able to connect with most anyone you want (face pic or not).

Respectfully My Two Cents…

P.S. This is off topic a bit, but when ever I need to look up a record of a persons existence or presence on the internet (or want to just see what a site looked like that is no longer up or operational), I just go to: Internet Archive: Wayback Machine . This site is benign really and should not cause any undo alarm for those of you not familiar with it. It has been around as long as the modern internet itself and I use it from time to time to do research on various things. Very good starting place for the sleuths among us…lol. You would be surprised just how much stuff is being recorded and cataloged around the world (and that is the stuff we know about…lol). Anyway check it out sometime and tell me what you all think of it. And maybe I’ll share some of the more involved and intimidating things I have come across that governments and various corporations use everyday just to keep an eye on things.

Ciao-

Ew. That site sounds creepy. I hope there isn't a record of every site I've visited. I should probably be careful.

On the other hand, my thinking on this topic of Internet sleuthing is that I am just one among millions and millions of people visiting different sites.

I mean, we live in a world where respected politicians are continually busted for out-of-wedlock children and hitting on underage pages. My trivial Internet records aren't that important to anyone.

I'm actually really glad someone brought this up...I was thinking of starting a thread about faces.

What I want to know is, why do so many people not post pictures, especially of their faces?

Good question, and since I don't have a good explanation...

Although I am not a teacher, I am in schools frequently. Many have required backgrounds checks. I also coach for some athletic teams that my son is on. Both would be lost if someone found a full picture of me on this site.

Most of what happens on this site is harmless but there are a few posts that could offend or be taken as harmful to others. I don't care to be guilty by association. On the other hand as a father, I also applaud much of what is being done to protect children from sexual predators.

Cocks/faces on their own arent bave, but i think that both together are; it is a two finger salute to the prudence of society.

I thought about face pics, but I don't want to be recognised. I post things here that I would otherwise consider private and not confide in anyone; I don't want them public.

As for cock pics... I don't know, it always seemed marginally grotesque to me to be recognised on a forum for one's phallice.

For me, it's nice to have my penis right there aloneside my thoughts. It makes me feel like a complete human being.

 Hadn't thought of it in terms of being brave at all, it's the norm here as it is at a gay nude beach, or 'hookup site'(some people here seem to be disapproving, as well as oblivious).

In my case what is normally covered by clothes is relatively better than what is normaly exposed, can't fault a person for putting their best foot forward.

I used to have at other (mybigmuscle) sites full body face and erection pix, a few months ago I cropped these. Now my profiles at various adult sites are body only, the only site I have a facepic is myspace, which is all ages and no nudity. (same user ID as here)

I am involved to the extent of serving on the boards of local nonprofits that among other things, support the GSA's, with kids as young as 13.

Well that's quite an answer!:biggrin1: I didnt think you'd actually just post your face, lol.

I guess the reason I dont post MY face in any of my pictures is....well, frankly, I dont want ALL of you to see me. You can't trust everyone, and who knows where that picture may end up. As for my penis...who cares? Its my penis, its like taking a picture of my big toe...it doesnt matter.

Just not my face.....the people who need to see me....can.

Yes, but gay nude beaches usually don't have webcams. Walking around nude at a gay nude beach is one thing. But actually posting a picture of your penis and your face on a site like this is quite another. At a nude beach, everyone is nude and therefore on equal footing. Not to say that that can't be awkward. I once met someone I knew at a nude beach, and it was quite awkward. But at least we were on equal footing. I saw him. He saw me. We both knew we were there. I couldn't run to his friends and say, "Guess who was naked at the beach!" without them knowing I had been there as well.

With a site like this, someone could visit anonymously, view pictures, forward them to various people, and never be exposed themselves.

The penis by itself, not so brave. The face, brave. The penis and face together, extremely brave, in my opinion -- unless you're a porn star or something.

A lot of businesses do background checks on candidates. It can be as simple as running a search engine on your name and the web handles that you've registered your name, address and other information that can be cross-referenced. Businesses -- especially American corporations that by their very nature want to reduce liability on their part -- expect their clients, customers or employees to be "conservative" in their "morals" ...whatever that means. It's that, or you're rejected.

Businesses that pride themselves upon security will be especially sensitive to the moral infractions of the many, as judged by a few, or even one in their organization.

Under the G.W. Bush Administration some organizations feel politically or religiously compelled to report these "moral deviants" to the authorities, or certainly to the attention of their legal staff ...or with some increasing frequency, to the Press.

I don't necessarily agree with the imposition of the moral beliefs of the bigots in American society, but as it stands now in this age of "national security," even one prude has been granted the legal power, the veto power so to speak, over what they think everyone else should and should not do in their off-duty lives, in the privacy of their bedrooms.

So I have to give the people who post their real faces on the internet credit; they are brave indeed, as they are honest to the public at large ...which is a lot more than I can say about the social bigots and religious hypocrites that run this country, under "BushCo."

Exactly why I thought it was brave. By the way, not too surprising, but I am politically a "radical." I have written several things on the Internet about my political viewpoints and I sometimes wonder if they will ever get in the way of me getting certain jobs. My hope is that I will never be in a position to apply for a job that would've vibe with my perspective.

I am often photographed, but I have no idea where these images go. I agree we are under constant surveillance for many other reasons though.

One thing about this forum that is surprising to me is that not only do some guys join and post pictures of their penises, but some guys even post pictures of their faces. I gotta hand it to you guys who are brave enough to do this. I am thinking of posting a picture of my cock. What keeps me from doing so is that there's nothing special about it. Perfectly average. But never in a million years would I be brave enough to post both my cock AND a picture of my face.

I am not hiding my face... I am not hiding that which is between my legs... my body is most definately peaches and cream... It is my mind that I am hiding from it... that is the one thing I am not brave enough to show...

...this distancing has allowed me to become an alter-ego of myself...

I came here with serious higher-intelligence issues and wish to break myself apart on thought value. I never intended for this to be an easy ride, and with such anonymity my mind feels itself free to explore the shadowy depths...

Do understand though, that I am abnormal. Just as some here have an abnormally large penis ... I have... other abnormalities... my tool and ego are just two larger aspects of them.
Still, I have come here a coward... a ninja in the night... the only ones that know of me here are my highly amused friends. (who know first hand what a freak of nature I am)
