Question about Stretching devices

Hey everyone. Just a quick questions. I just started using a stretching device to see if it works. They say to shoot for 8-12 hours a day and I did 10 yesterday. Shouldn't I probably take a rest day every other day...almost as if I was working out my body so it can rebuild and heal..
