Banana Bread




Ingredients

• 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
• 1/3 cup melted butter
• 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• Pinch of salt
• 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Method

No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

In my view, people that are referred to on this site and others can be grouped into three main groups: the disagreeables, the true trolls, and the wannabe trolls.

• The Disagreeables: People like Starinvestor in the Politics forum (prior to his banning) and rfj in the Adult Websites forum (prior to his banning). These people have an opinion that runs contrary to most of a site's makeup, stick to it obstinately, and come off as complete and total assholes. All they really need is a slight attitude adjustment to be members of a productive debate.
• The True Trolls: The rarest of the three subtypes. Unlike the disagreeables, who want to voice their opinions, these people say things for the sole purpose of pissing off people and attempting to make them make themselves look like idiots. Everything is done for the lulz. The closest thing I've seen to that on this site was a thread in the Politics forum with some outrageous title like "Gay-Selective Abortion," or something like that. Pissed people right the fuck off, and he played it pretty well. However, true, successful trolls are pretty rare.
• The Wannabe Trolls: Annoyingly common. People like houtx48 in the Politics forum. The majority of this type's posts consist of them replying to topics with replies to posts they disagree with with messages along the lines of "lololololololol (bad joke on what previous poster said)."

When you react to someone who's trolling...you're just giving them power over you. Don't react and they either shut up or go away.
