So i'm intrested in saline injection. I currently have around 10-12 1000ml sterile bags of normosol-r, being used for other purposes. Normosol-r is a saline solution combined with some essential minerals and electrolytes. More info here:

Normosol-R Official FDA information, side effects and uses.

What i'm wondering is if this solution is safe for human subcutaneous injection into the scrotum. Or if this will cause any negative unwanted side effects, I have all the sterile supplies I would need, tubing, needles...ect.

Also, is this safe for injection in large quantities, eg: 700ml-1000ml?

If not I could just go buy some bags containing only saline.

If you are going to inject something into your scrotum
    Not advising
Risks are those involved with any injection - infection and hitting something important with the needle and injecting into something you did not intend injecting into.

Normosol-R is actually more of a balanced fluid than saline and would not carry any MORE risk than injecting saline

    1 liter into the scrotum????
    Seems like a lot.
I would think all the stretching would be uncomfortable to say the least.

I was only using that amount as an example, Im actually thinking more around 500ml. All I wanted to know was that it is just as safe as saline is to inject.

And it doesnt last long anyway, it absorbs fairly quickly.

I'm aware its not exactly saline lol, that's why im asking if its safe.

Bad idea. Why on earth would you want to do such a thing?
(I have been an advanced practice nurse for many years.)

No it is not. Do not inject this solution subcutaneously. I'm an Advanced Practice Nurse with 10 years of experience.

Subcutaneous injections in that area of your body should only be done by a Doctor or a Nurse. Reasons why:

    1) Infection - could be catastrophic and may result in a serous infection, which would lead to a trip to the ER, or even surgical debridement, you could loose your genitals.

    2) Nerve damage - injection directly into a nerve could result in permanent nerve damage, numbness, incontinence (if pudendal nerves are damaged), etc..

    3) Vascular injection - Normosol contains Electrolytes. a large bolus of Normosol could result in severe consequences. The amount of Potassium in one liter of Normosol, given as a rapid bolus can cause cardiac arrest and death.

SO, I hope this answers your question adequately.

I have sterile equipment and have given injections for years, injecting myself isn't really the issue, its more of the contents of the solution, if potassium is an issue, then I will definitely re-consider.

Again - Not endorsing but it is a balanced solution so the amount of potassium is the about the same as in normal body fluid.

Because the potassium is diluted in a liter of fluid I doubt if it would cause cardiac arrest. A bigger issue would be cardiac overload from 1 liter of fluid given rapidly IV.

all the other potential complications are real.

I understand that some people do this and some do it frequently without side effects.
But there are the unlucky ones.
They provide gory case studies for the medical literature.

I too, am an advance practice nurse and live in the San Francisco area. To answer your question, I would stick with normal saline. Saline scrotal infusions are not that uncommon- just check photos from Dore Alley or the Folsom Street Fairs. I have seen guys walking around with huge scrotums. Yes, nothing is totally safe and people will do what they want. I just hope that you know what you are doing. BTW, I have done many scrotal infusions without any problems and 500ml is a reasonable amount.

I am not sure of your point.

Firstly, I would believe the liquid you inject would only temporarily stay where you injected it, but then it would be broke down and removed by the body.

If you are trying to remineralise and rehydrate your body. Take vitamins, healty diet, drink water, electrolyte drinks. You could also use
moisturiser (cream) to rehydrate your body through the skin.

It's for temporary body-modding. Not a desirable look to my way of thinking - bmezine or some such sites can explain the process though the motivation is beyond me.

The point is to make his scrotum the size of a cantaloupe.

    He finds this attractive.

I hope I've cleared that up for you.

How is it fucked up, different people have different views on different things, you dont see me ratting on someone because they have a foot fetish. Its not my thing, but at least I can respect it, and not call it fucked up.

When you get outside of the norm,
    eyebrows are raised.
    Then head shaking.
    Farther away and
    jaws drop.

Eventually the need to comment takes over.
    Especially with risky behavior.

Please realize that there is a difference between injecting saline and a foot fetish. The foot fetish does not involve a health risk (OK if you kiss someone with athletes foot you can get ringworm fungus)

Injecting does carry a health risk even if it is a low risk - there is still some risk.
And there are people out there - I am sure - that have experienced a major medical issue due to it. (Infection, nerve or vessel damage)

There are threads highly critical of Autoerotic asphyxiation here.

And if someone posted regarding a scat fetish, I'm guessing there would be a lot of criticism too.

Look, bigmuscle...what you are doing is self-mutilation. We've all got some shit someplace. I am overweight, so my eating habits are in fact self-mutilating. So it's fucked up, and dangerous. So is what you are talking about doing. I'm in no position to be judgemental...but it's still fucked up.
