a man to claim he is straight, even though he is in love with, married to, and regularly having multi-orgasmic sex with his male soul-mate.

Is it a little weird that I just can't imagine a man saying that?

I think its weird too, which is what makes me hesitant to agree that she can accurately identify herself as lesbian. Doesn't really make sense. I can understand not wanting to label at all, but I don't follow the seeming mislabel. Although I do agree that bisexual often carries a connotation of liking both sexes equally, which may be what she wants to avoid, as was pointed out a little earlier.

What is the need for labels? Just get on with your life. Best the best person that you can be. So if you need to strive for a label, let it be "best person that i can be"

Some people prefer to label themselves.

I prefer to call myself "bisexual" because it communicates that I'm sexually interested in men and women.

If others prefer to not use a label, that's perfectly fine, but those people shouldn't argue that people like Me should live my life the same way they do.

That's a great idea! I love that. I also think labels are a waste of energy and only serve to divide us further.

When women say or admit that they're attracted to other women, that gets my dick hard.

Do you personally get sexually excited when men say that they are attracted to other men?

Several people have expressed concern / interest / curiosity as to why I have resurrected an older post.

First of all, is there some rule against this practice?

Second, have you nothing better to write.

Third, and, actually most importantly, there is a lot of talk in some places about younger people not wishing to identify as either male or female. That is their choice. The one thing that a scared, confused or solitary-feeling person can use, is understanding.

This post was intended for them.

For the rest of you: Are you happy now?

I’m giving a label to this thread. Old

HOWever....my wife seems to subscribe to the theory that sexual inclinations are not necessarily as strict as a lot of people believe. The inclinations might not be strict, but as far as I’m concerned the labels are.

Well, I want to say thanks for the exhumation of this thread(sorry I think it’s been resurrected once). It was such a good read that I read it nonstop. A lot of actual human emotion and understanding.

It doesn't arouse me but it doesn't turn me off either.

Watching two guys fuck can be pretty fuckin hot.

Most forums I've spent time on over the last roughly two decades tend to frown upon necro-posting as a general netiquette thing. Just like writing in ALL CAPS, bumping a thread like crazy (especially without adding actual content), etc.

Have you nothing better to do than go around necroposting to complain about labels?

This thread started to discuss sexual orientation, not gender identity.

Thank you for answering.

I've seen women admit that they liked watching two men have sex, but they know their boyfriends/husbands would be repulsed. It seems to be a bit more common than most straight men realize.

It's much more acceptable for men to tell their girlfriends and wives that they like lesbian porn, and that they fantasize about their female partners with another women. But again, there are straight men who are not aroused by lesbian porn at all, just like there are straight men who would never reveal their lesbian fantasies to their female partner.

I have also known women who've told me in confidence that lesbian porn does zero for them. They're turned on only by a big boy stud with a big dick. LOL. Whatever floats your boat. We are all different, and I am glad we all are.
