    I have a jpg picture on my hard drive. I want to:

    1. insert it into a Blogger template
    2. re-size it
    3. hot link a site to it (effectively, turn it into a link button)
    Do any of you helpful geeks have some quick instructions you could share? Or even better, a scrap or two of code I could edit and paste?

    I'll do three minutes of communications strategy consuting for you in return. That's worth a lot of money here in New York.

    Cheers and thanks,

    HB8

    I did something like that on my husbands page for the FAQ's.
    I think you'd resize it first; any decent software that allows you to open various formats usually have an option to resize.
    Then I just renamed the photo/icon to the page or site I wanted www.mysite.com.

    I would resize it, and then when you save it, save it as the name or site you want to direct people to.
    What your talking about might be different tho. I've never done anything with a blog.

    edit: LOL there really is a mysite.com

    I can link and resize, but don't know anything about "blogger templates".

    Irfanview is freeware that, among other things, allows you to easily resize images. Google it, and you'll find the download site if you want it.

    That's really all I need to know---resize (I can do that), insert the picture (how?) and create a link (how?). Can I ask for some explicit instructions, if you have a minute?

    not sure if this is what you are looking for. but in the html code you do a, for example...

    <img src=http://www.sluts.com/hotpic.jpg>

    if the image is located on another site.

    if you just wanted to "link" it, use

    <a href=http://www.bigdicks.com/largecock.jpg>Pic of Big One</a>

    write if i can be of any more help. but there are people who are much more literate about this stuff than me.

    Your code's broken. You need apostrophes over the image address e.g.

    <img src="www.orcabomberisgod.com/dammright.gif">
    For a direct picture.
