Question For Women: Do You Find the Penis Visually Beautiful?

So many times I hear women talk about penises they're usually joking about them. They also talk about how good they feel during sex or how silly they can look just dangling between a man's legs. I've heard women talk about how hot a cock, particularly erect, can appear when women are in the mood. Otherwise they seem to find it offensive in some way.

What I don't hear is women talk of cock the way men talk about tits or ass or legs. Men will quickly talk of the beauty of the female anatomy; of how beautiful a proportional and full set of boobs can be or how pleasing the figure of a woman can be. Think of how many male artists have rendered the female form throughout history just out of sheer love for the beauty of the feminine body.

So ladies, if you're looking at a man's cock or a male body, do you see the penis, whether hard or soft, as a beautiful part of the male body? Do you only feel this way when sexually aroused or could you, for example, be browsing through a museum, see a male nude of some sort, and think, "that's a beautiful penis?"

If you do find penises visually beautiful in some way, what way is it? What makes a penis beautiful?

If you do not, then what do you think when you see it?

Does the context of the situation matter?

Good queries all, Jason.

I obviously cannot speak with authority in regards to women's views on this subject. But through observation, and listening to what women say (and don't say), I have arrived at a couple of inferences.

1. The old saw that "men are visual, women aren't", while a massive generalization, and therefore less than a perfect encapsulation of some ultimate truth, nevertheless roughly expresses the gist of one aspect of this issue. Men fawn over images (real, photographic, etc.) of boobs, butts, vaginas, cocks, etc. Men can (and do) spend huge percentages of their lives visually appreciating the various constituent parts of a the human body. My sense is that, to the extent that women visually ogle male bodies, they are looking with more of a "big picture" eye. That is, what's the total effect of Brad Pitt, or John Doe, etc. Instead of focussing on cocks, per se. Or elbows, or ears, et. al.

2. To the extent that women do get into the ogling of male parts (including cocks). they do it on a more conditional basis than men do. That is, men can look at and greedily appreciate a pair of tits at any time and place, regardless of the external situation or the man's particular level of sexual focus and arousal at that given moment. For example, if, in the midst of that sales meeting in the boardroom, the CFO puts a naked pic of Jamie Lee Curtis' tits on the overhead projector, the guy will immediately assess and appreciate the physical evidence. A guy could be eating soup with his grandmother at the rest home, and if the television suddenly cut to the Jenna Jameson Channel (out of grannie's scope of vision), dude is on board, excited, evaluating and appreciating.

But women need to be in a certain frame of mind and attitude to even begin assessing, much less "appreciating" images of cocks. If they're not in that certain mode, then the physical image of a cock is not an "important" thing, the way it would be to a similarly situated man.

I could be completely wrong about all of this.

If you're looking at a man's cock or a male body, do you see the penis, whether hard or soft, as a beautiful part of the male body? Yes.

Do you only feel this way when sexually aroused? No.

Or could you, for example, be browsing through a museum, see a male nude of some sort, and think, "that's a beautiful penis?" Yes and always do.

If you do find penises visually beautiful in some way, what way is it? What makes a penis beautiful?

Men's physical structure tends to be symmetrical and somewhat angular. The penis is positioned at the center of that symmetry drawing our eyes to it. Unlike the rest of a man's body, its appearance changes radically when becoming erect than when flaccid. The skin is velvety soft even when rock hard. It even has personality (that's probably another thread on its own). Mesmerising.

Does the context of the situation matter?

Yes, it can. I'm not going to think much of any man's cock if he pulls it out while i'm waiting at a bus stop and waves it at me.

See, that's interesting. Most men would compare that to a woman flashing her boobs and the first thing men would do is judge if they were hot boobs or not and then either encourage or discourage her based on their judgment of how good they looked.

not even that- a woman's figure is almost always visible, or at least, her boobs and overall shape...they're IMPOSSIBLE to hide sometimes (particularly for big-chested women)...so men have the opportunity to judge women day in and day out, while women have a few lone opportunities: perhaps a guy is particularly bulging, or he's RIDICULOUSLY muscular, or he's naked...

my point being that men have more access to the visual aspects of the opposite sex than vice versa.

and to answer the original question, I appreciate the whole male form. I think a smaller penis is more fitting on certain builds, and certain builds are better suited for different people...i take it on an individual basis...

a small side note, though, is that i don't always judge the face and the rest of the body together...i find that i look at a face as a separate entity from the rest of the body...*shrugs*

But there's no comparison. Women who bare their breasts in public know they will get a favourable reaction from the male contingency and be called disparaging names by other women so the attention is viewed as positive. Most men who yank out their willy for public display know they won't necessarily receive a favourable review from anyone. They're just doing it to distract you and get their kicks while wiggling away.

Women I am told do not think about their boobs like a man thinks about his dick.
I don't consider big boobs (larger than 36C) particularly exciting. A girl with a nice 34B set is absolutely optimal.

If you do find penises visually beautiful in some way, what way is it? What makes a penis beautiful? Beautiful? Not at all. Erotic? Certain ones, and size certainly matters here, at least for me.

If you do not, then what do you think when you see it? To me, small penises are not erotic. Some are funny-looking. In fact, some large ones are strange looking.

Does the context of the situation matter? Sure. A sick old man in a hospital bed's dick isn't sexy no matter what size it is. But just the suggestion of a big dick in public (i.e., nice bulge) is a big turn on for me.

Yep... me too - I'm completely fascinated by men's cocks and love to look at them!

You are.

I find the penis incredibly beautiful (ok, that's not a masculine word, is it?)
Beautiful. I cannot think of a better adjective. Just beautiful. I absolutely love the variety of visual stimuli on LPSG, although I have to admit....I had never really seen uncut cocks until I joined this site. Can you believe that? It's true! And now that I have (seen so many), it's simply fantastic to examine them in such detail!! How wonderful it is that so many men are comfortable enough with themselves to post such pictures for us, the admirers!

I often wonder why I couldn't be a lesbian, but I just do not find the vagina at ALL attractive. Ewwww...!

Do I have to be in a certain frame of mind?? That would be a resounding "No". The physical image is extremely important, and I chuckle every time I see someone (men and women) post a picture where you can see objects in the background - laundry, desk accessories, socks, etc. Or the guy hasn't trimmed the bush in years. All of those factors contribute to the physical image attractiveness and appeal.

Well, why would a girl talk about cocks as a man talks about ass, tits or legs? I'll talk about a guys chest, ass and legs like that. I don't hear guys comment on a girl's genitals unless they're watching porn.

I don't really have to be "in the mood" to find them arousing. A nice looking cock is a nice looking cock. I really only find them amusing if they're swinging around such as when a guy's running or something. It's just not a graceful movement. And genitals-guys and girls- can be funny looking. But really the only time I'd be offended is if a guy flashed me. Keep it in the pants when you're in public please.

I certainly enjoy the way penises look and also how they function. I very much recognize their beauty in different contexts, including the one you described.

I am very much a voyeur and for me if I did see a random guy on a bus flash his dick at me on the sly, I admit I'd find it turn on, given that he didn't look or appear crazy, nasty, weird or off-putting. I love naughty stuff like that in the right contexts.

I tend to be very comfortable with my "perverted" side far more than most women I meet, at least openly that is. Some women might even pretend to be offended by a man showing her his goods in certain settings, but deep down inside, many will admit later on to themselves or with close girlfriends that they found the act a turn on. They will think about this later over and over and imagine. They won't admit this to anyone else though for fear that the claim might take away any validity to cases where they truly feel sexually harassed and for fear that they will be looked at as "whores" or unladylike.

I do think there are some differences between men and women on average, but I think far more women appreciate candid eroticism and sexuality than many people give us credit for. Remember, women in general have gender-based appearances to uphold in a society that most likely will disapprove of sexually honest women.

My attraction to the look of penises is the biggest reason why I became a member of LPSG and a gold member at that. I absolutely find beauty in penises. I am very aroused by looking at them, touching them and pleasing them. I enjoy the look and roundness of the head, the slightly wet gaping slit of the head of the cock in full direct view, the texture and skin around the entire length of the shaft and the way the penis looks sitting atop a pair of well-formed delicate testicles. I like the look of both cut and uncut cocks. I also enjoy looked at various sizes. I certainly love to see penises both pee and ejaculate.

I am a penis aficionado without having what is considered penis envy since I also enjoy and appreciate being a woman.

I would love to see more photo books that showcase the beauty of the penis and I wish Hollywood was more comfortable with showing full frontal nudes of actors. We see all parts of the woman but we rarely get to see the men unless we visit foreign or independent cinema.

The penis has been made to be so forbidden and mysterious and the aesthetic value of it is often ignored. Even men themselves rarely acknowledge the beauty of their own dicks, particularly straight men. We do see this acknowledgement at boards like this, but I'd like to see it more in mainstream discussions without fear, worry, and embarrassment...in honest discussions from men about their bodies amongst one another and/or with women they know in some manner.

Maybe someone needs to start a penis loving movement of some sort and have it headed by men from all walks of life with the support and advocacy of women too; promoting books, films, discussions and art that showcase penis appreciation and aesthetics in a holistic and VERY candid light.

Maybe it's time for something like that.

Grandunification: Not necessarily! Cut or uncut- the male member is beautiful. I'm fascinated simply because it is such a "visual treat!"

Regarding getting turned on by seeing another woman's physical attributes: Not gonna' happen - I can appreciate a beautiful body, male or female....but would never desire a "woman."

I think the male body is beautiful, some parts more than others. I find the male penis varies in attractiveness. I enjoy looking at all of them. Small, large, hairy, shaved, veiny, smooth.
