I don't just think it's a black thing; it's an American thing in general. Heavy metal artists are just as bad about the violence. Look at how much Americans consume: If the other 5.7 billion people on this planet lived the same way, we'd have to terraform the moon, Mars (and both its moons), Venus, and most of Jupiter's moons.

The groups were small, ranging from only 9 to 121 individuals; nevertheless the data acquired are not without significance.

I can not find it right now but there is a measured survey that stated men of african descent were larger when soft than caucasian men when generally their erections are about the same.

So far this seems rather true. Whether black or white the average size seems to be about 6 inches.

Oh and I agree with Madame the average seems to keep getting smaller. I personally thik they keep changing the statistics to make men feel better about themselves.

But Jacobus' work was 70 years ago, back when pretty much all ethnography was done by outright racists. Except for at Columbia, of course; there was actually a racist spam almost a decade ago where Franz Boas played the villain in a Jewish communist conspiracy. Having clarified this: In a self-measured study, blacks are always going to have "larger" organs. I use quotations because this is obviously not true. Black culture is one of exaggeration and over-compensation. This is consitent with rap lyrics, "trash-talking" in basketball, etc. A couple of months ago, we talked on the LPSG how a significant percentage of famous rap artists claimed to have 9", 10".....67" penises in a recent VIBE article. I've had numerous black girlfriends who said that black men were indeed not larger and cited the exact same reasons for the myth...namely, they're trying to live up to a stereotype. Whenever I'm using a urinal next to a black man, I alway feel bad for him, because I know the odds are that my 6" flaccid penis is twice the size of his. I know that this man will not dare even take a peak, so as not to destroy his delusion.

The only people I know who perpetuate this myth (with the exception of black men themselves) are naive, sexually inexperienced non-black women who will never know the dissapointing truth because they would never share a bed with a black man to begin with----- I hope you see my harsh point...it's a fantasy and just that. People have this fantasy becaus they know the odds of it materializing are nill. If they allowed this to happen, there goes the fantasy. The mysterious and unknown sparks the imagination.

Ya I find most of this to be pretty true. I got in an argument once with a very cute little asian girl. Her boyfriend is a major spreader of that rumor. She was arguing that she could never date a white guy because black guys and hispanic guys are much better hung. He's a big white guy so don't think it just happens in certain groups all guys exagerate.
Thus why when I eventually told her she just assumed I was lying. Scared the hell out her when she finally delt me through a pair of tight black jeans.

Rumors get started quite a bit. But the fact remains, at best, you might find a different distribution. I wonder if we start dividing racial groups into monophyletic types, if we'll get an actual idea of who's more hung. It's like the old "race and brain size"; ironically, some of the largest crania are Xhosa (Yay, Mandela&#33 and among the smallest are Tyroleans. (Sorry, Adolf.)

And of course, any woman who dates a man solely for his size is a tramp.

What about with Middle Eastern men, I wonder? The smallest man I was ever with was Syrian/Palestinian. Couldn't have been much more than 3" hard, and he seemed to try to compensate by pounding uncomfortably hard against me. Ugh. It was among the most unpleasant sexual experiences of my life. Thank God it was just a one-night stand; I'm not sure I could have maintained a relationship with him based on the lack of sexual chemistry. And in any case, he turned out to be a real asshole (he was a former teaching assistant of mine - we hooked up after the class was over), so I don't feel bad revealing any of this about him.

But I did once read something about how lack of niacin/thiamine (or something) in the diet stunts gonadal growth in men, and that in the late '60s, early '70s throughout the Middle East there was some kind of grain shortage resulting in a drop of this operative vitamin/mineral in the average diet. Hence, males who underwent puberty during that period from that area tend to have smaller-than-average penis sizes. Anyone else hear this?

I don't know. It could have some truth to it but I thought that most of your dick size was decided by genetics and that diet had very little effect. But then I wonder if spending less time in the womb (being born premature) means you aren't as developed, and so 'big' (down there) when you grow up

These are interesting questions that will never get answered...because penis and sex are naughty. I remember telling the ex I was bigger than most black men, probably half gloating and half doing her a favour. Girls need to know these things lol.

I'm really confused with your logic (and not b/c I'm under-endowed. LOL). However, the Durex study is one of the LEAST accurate b/c it's "self-measured." Now I'm sure that you're aware of how much guys exaggerate. For example, "My car goes 200mph, or I can bench press 450lbs." How much more is exaggeration going to apply with PENIS SIZE?! I would say on average the exaggeration is AT LEAST 1 inch in length.

As far as the "black" issue. I've said it before, but I'll say it again for the newbies or at least non-OGs. Black men (generally speaking) exaggerate even more than white men. I guess I'm speaking about a general trend of overcompensation that is manifest in everything, perhaps MOSTLY in the "black penis size myth." And as DUO187 said, it's true that the darker the flesh, the more prominent it LOOKS visually. This is why sexy art is always done in black-and-white (creates definition), and why even white bodybuilders subject themselves to extreme tanning.

Do all black guys exaggerate? Of course not! I'm speaking of a GENERAL trend here, rooted in cultural differences between the modesty of Puritans and the flamboyance of African American culture. For the record, my current g/f is black (actually from Nigeria). Not that I need to justify myself, but just to put it out there before any 1-dimensional people ensue attacking.

Okay, according to these study results (which look pretty reputable) in the following link, caucasian men are actually on average slightly larger than black men. Expressed in inches, average erect length of caucasian men studied was 6.5, of black men 6.1, of hispanic men 5.9, and other East Asian men 5.5. The article also lists statistics regarding people's perception of size variation across different ethnic groups; according to these, most believe black men have larger-than-average penises.

For some reason I find it incredibly hard to believe that ANY man can be smaller than 5 inches ERECT. I just can't see it. I am not "Middle Eastern", and am not sure what that is. I am also not Arab. Pretty sure what that is. But the rumour I have always heard is that Arabs are bigger when it comes to dick. Bigger than Negroids, unless you're talking about about Somalis and the Sudanese Arabs who are are the biggest of them all. They of course are black, mixed I guess. Also high on the size chart are West Africans. Once again, these are rumours, perhaps propogated by the angelic Judeo-Christians who selflessly work to civilise the heathen "sand-niggers" (a commonly accepted term in the USA today). First dehumanise the beast, to tame and overpower him?
