I have some questions for guys who got vasectomies and their partners.

Did you have any health / pain / discomfort issues from getting clipped?

Did it affect your semen quality? If so how?

How soon afterwards can you resume sex?

What procedure did you use? Would you recommend that procedure?

I got snipped about 10 years ago. No problems. I can feel the scar tissue when i squeeze my bag but it is quite small.

No impact on my semen, it is still the same amount and consistency.

The doctor said I could resume sex after 10 days, but we did it after 8, altho I ended up getting an infection and my balls swelled up to the size of grapefruit and I had to go on antibiotics. It quickly cleared up but I asked the doctor if the problem was because I "took it out of the garage 2 days early" and he said no.

Mine was done under a general anestetic - not that I am a wimp - but I was having another procedure done at the same time and asked the doctor if he could do both at the same time and he agreed. That way, I was not awake to see them slicing into my ball sac and doing the snip. Cant comment much on that as I awoke in recovery.

I never did submit my sample for testing. They said I had to take a sample of my jizz into the lab to be analyzed but I couldnt get my wife to spit into the cup... haha! Actually, I just couldnt be bothered. It has been 10 years and she isnt prego now so I guess I am sterile.

Big regrets -- my balls ached for more than a month and I now come less. I would never advise any man to have it done.

I had it done about 12 years ago - an easy office procedure and I discussed what was happening with the doctor as he did it, how he identified the correct tubes to cut and how he cauterized them. The cut done on my scrotum was small and my girlfriend had trouble finding the entry spot after the stitches were removed. There was no pain but some discomfort. I believe I was out of the saddle for 10 to 14 days and then went full blast. There was no noticeable reduction in seman or any change in color/consistency/volume etc. Yes, I would recommend this type of procedure - for those men that don't want to father children.

My girlfriend loved it because now we could dump the condoms.

I had my vascectomy 30 years ago. It was done by my doctor in his rooms with local anaesthethic. No pain or problems. Went to the shops afterwards, had sex with my wife when we got home (just to make sure it still worked) and then did some work in the garden seeing I was having a day of work.
I had very little bruising and just a little itching from the two little scars at each side of my scrotum healing in the hot summer weather.
I notice no difference in sex and the volume of semen, if you can call it that, did not seem to change.
I have no regrets and it is a marvelous method of birth control

My Vasectomy was done 21 years ago, it was don't under general anesthetic, not from choice, but the surgeon said that local anesthetic caused the scrotal tissue to swell needing a larger incision. He also pointed out the fact that he could control any bleeding better. I had it done 9 am in the morning, awoke with one small dissolvable each side, home at lunchtime, out digging in the garden in the afternoon, had sex with my wife that night. No pain or discomfort, no bruising, everything as before except for firing blanks. Would recommend it to any guy. Allows you to have more spontaneity in your sex life, no hassle or worries about contraception. Never looked back. Now divorced and openly gay, but that is not a side effect of the snip.....lol

Got mine done two years ago. Was sore for a week or so, but nothing some advil didn't take care of. Could start having sex 10 days after, but had to use condoms until got the all clear from dr. I had to take samples in after four weeks and 20 ejaculations. Took me four tries to get a clear sample. Kept seeing a couple non-motile swimmers. Now it is great. No worries about getting pregnant and still shoot the same as before.

You should not have gone to Dr. Nick Riviera to have it done.

When performed by a skillful doctor, a vasectomy will not cause ANY change in the semen that can be detected without a microscope. It does not change the texture, color, odor, or flavor.

I got snipped 2 years ago (at 40), and notice several changes. First, before the vasectomy, if I didn't cum at least every 2 days, I noticed my balls feeling really congested. There was a huge feeling of release and draining in my balls after I came. This is TOTALLY GONE now. No feeling of buildup, no feeling of release. This is good and bad. Good in that I don't go crazy if I don't cum every day or other day. Bad in that orgasm is now different. The "good feeling" of cumming is the same, it's just without the feeling of release. I know guys who say they have experienced the same thing, and those who haven't. Physiologically, my experience makes sense since the sperm are released into my body, instead of building up in my balls prior to orgasm. Just my 2 cents.

My vasectomy was performed by a skilled and reputable doctor. As a result I have had no problems. A vasectomy will not cause any change to your ejaculate except there will be no sperm. I enjoy sex more now that there is no risk of getting my partner pregnant. Sex without a condom is true liberation! I still cum as I did before and there is no change to the texture, colour, odour, or flavour.

That twinge in your intestines
I have some questions for guys who got vasectomies and their partners.

Did you have any health / pain / discomfort issues from getting clipped?
Only when my 96 lb. Labrador retriever whacked me across the nads with his tail later that afternoon.

Did it affect your semen quality? If so how?
Aside from causing me to shoot blanks, no. There are no changes to my semen that could be detected by the naked eye.

How soon afterwards can you resume sex?

I think it was 4-5 days. Certainly it was less than a week.

What procedure did you use? Would you recommend that procedure?

I don't know the name of the procedure. The doctor and I were discussing fly fishing the whole time, and it seemed it was over within about 20-30 minutes. It was not as bad as a root canal.

I have my vasectomy 12 years ago and after noticed that I no longer had the full feeling in my balls just before I came. Everything else is the same but I miss that feeeling. If I am really turned on, I get a feeling that's close, but not quite the same. I've actually wondered if I had it reversed would I get the feeling back?

Got snipped two weeks ago. Already feel totally normal and can't even see a scar. Have already been banging and getting blown. Jerking off hurt for a couple days just cause my balls were bouncing too much. Went back to work after two days and just went easy on lifting for two shifts.
