Tuesday, July 5, 2016 11:19 AM EDT
The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, on Tuesday said “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring a case against Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified information as secretary of state. The F.B.I.’s recommendation will have an enormous impact on the presidential election.
Mr. Comey said the F.B.I. is not recommending charges against Mrs. Clinton to the Justice Department. But he said Mrs. Clinton and her staff were “extremely careless” in their use of email.

Well, to a degree, it was pretty clear to the FBI, so there isn't much left to say. Her detractors will say "The fix was in," her supporters will say "Witchhunt." If Christ himself came back and stood on the Capital steps and proclaimed her innocent he would be denounced. There is plenty of a record available to make a decision on election day.

The investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server is over, Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch said on Wednesday, issuing a brief written statement that she had accepted the F.B.I.’s reccomendation that no one should be charged in the case that has engulfed Mrs. Clinton’s presidential ambitions for more than a year.
“I received and accepted their unanimous recommendation that the thorough, year-long investigation be closed and that no charges be brought against any individuals within the scope of the investigation,” Mrs. Lynch said.

Something wrong with our country: Clinton

Hillary Clinton has addressed the fatal Dallas shootings at an appearance at the African Methodist Episcopal Convention in Philadelphia, but postponed a rally in Pennsylvania with Vice President Joe Biden.

In the wake of the deaths of five police officers, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump also called off a scheduled campaign event in Miami.

Clinton says Trump is most divisive candidate 'in our lifetimes'

(Besides her, that is)

Was about to agree with you until i was curious about the word.

divisiveadjective
US /dɪˈvɑɪ·sɪv, -ˈvɪs·ɪv/ disapproving
tending to cause disagreements that separate people into opposinggroups:

The campaign for the mayor’s office was racially divisive.

Simple Definition of divisive
  • : causing a lot of disagreement between people and causing them to separate into different groups
Seems to be some play there with regards to intent. I highly doubt it's intentional on the part of clinton. More like a consequence of circumstances. Trump on the other hand...creates it with every breath. I'm guessing thats why republicans and conservatives chose that word. Cause while it fits. It doesn't tell the whole story.

Oh and just thought about it. This is my prediction for america's political future. Hillary wins...of course and republicans/conservatives take everything else that isn't nailed down. If it's one thing i've learned about people in general it's that most people have a very difficult time keeping up with all the different issues that are regularly on the table for debate. So while democrats are defending or proping up hillary (or the party in general) republicans and conservatives will be taking swipes at just about every other issue they possibly can. Doing so in the most underhanded, backhanded and slimy ways possible. Democrats and liberals on the other hand won't be able to keep up as they will be divided enough to not see any of the legislation coming.

Most people are only for things that are in their own best interests so they'll either only back someone they like on a personal level or only back politicians who say they're for the things they like even if the politicians couldn't actually care any less. Then there are those who only back things because they have either a financial stake in it or something else leading to a financial stake in it. And once hillary is officially in office she will be blamed for everything by everyone effectively crippling democrats and liberals ability to get anything past anywhere at any time.

People will then say it's a repeat of obama and the rich will only get richer and the poor even poorer. And after four years of that....trump or someone like him.

BREAKING NEWS

Hillary Clinton has emerged from the email investigation a wounded candidate. She and Donald Trump are tied, our new poll has found.

Thursday, July 14, 2016 7:01 AM EDT
Hillary Clinton has emerged from the F.B.I. investigation into her email practices as secretary of state a wounded candidate with a large and growing majority of voters saying she cannot be trusted, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.
As Mrs. Clinton prepares to accept the Democratic Party’s nomination at the convention in Philadelphia this month, she will confront an electorate in which 67 percent of voters say she is not honest and trustworthy. That number is up five percentage points from a CBS News poll conducted last month, before the F.B.I. released its findings.

Hillary Clinton has a 76% chance of winning the presidency, our election forecast finds. See the state-by-state breakdown.

Tuesday, July 19, 2016 12:50 PM EDT
Our elections model suggests that Hillary Clinton is favored to win the presidency, based on the latest state and national polls. A victory by Donald Trump remains quite possible: Mrs. Clinton’s chance of losing is about the same probability that an N.B.A. player will miss a free throw.
From now until Election Day, we’ll update our interactive forecast page with estimates that take new polls into account, as well as collect the ratings of other news organizations. You can also chart different paths to victory by selecting winners in the most competitive states.

Britain just voted for Brexit. I have spent a lot of time studying this, and while I have always been pro EU have tried hard to understand valid reasons why membership might be bad for britain. There arent any.

Brexit won for reasons which have nothing to do with logic. There was a vote for a return to the good old days, think Trump. There was a vote to 'get our country back', think trump. There was a vote against immigrants despite their having a massive role in the economy, think Trump. There was a vote for how much better off the UK would be if not held back by all these foreign trade rules, think Trump. If experts disagree and explain why it will not work, call them liars or ignorant, think trump. There was a massive vote against the political establishment simply on the basis that if the mainstream politicians wanted the opposite then go for it, think Trump. A sociologist observed, if you mean to lie then lie so big that people belive something so huge could not possibly be a lie, think trump.

David cameron believed he would win the referendum and britain would remain in the EU. Trump will win by totally not agreeing with established orthodoxy. More people voted for Brexit and more voted against brexit than voted for either of the two main UK political parties. The issue cut across normal party lines, as will trump.

Leaked emails throw US Democrats into crisis ahead of DNC

Published on Jul 25, 2016
The head of the US Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz is stepping down after the party's convention in Philadelphia.

Schultz had been under pressure to resign after the release of leaked emails, which reveal that committee staffers favoured Hillary Clinton's presidential bid over Bernie Sande

With all the capable individuals in the US,it never ceases to amaze me that Trump and Clinton are the two who have risen to the top of the pile? Surely there must be better people for the people to chose from??
