This hasn't happened to me since I got the job I currently have, thank fuck.. but I remember when I was waiting tables and as a barista more times than I like to think about, random men (customers) decided to tell me that looking at me while I work made them hard.
The first time I was just silent, I didn't know what to say. I just pretend he didn't exist anymore and he eventually walked away (luckily). After a couple more times my reply is simply "I can go get my manager or you can leave on your own".
One idiot even tried to get me to go to the bathroom. The public bathroom. To fuck a random stranger. Just... Too stupid for words. And, fucking scary as fuck. He was so bold about it. There was a room full of people behind him so I boldly told him "No, you need to leave NOW". When the rest of the room looked right at him he hurried out of the building.
Has this ever happened to you, and if so how do you handle it?
